FUNKY FRENCH
Pure Ice 'Busted' and Pure Ice 'Oh Baby' over Billie Black
Before I get back into my winter-theme mani's I wanted to do a look with Pure Ice polish' = a funky french. Seriously if you live anywhere near a walmart USA and you have immediate access to these polish's, you need these two. They are $2.00 USD and they are magical. Serious.
anyhoo- I had to wear these polish's- because I remember how bad I wanted them, and they have been sitting in my nail polish box, ignored and neglected. They truly are gorgeous.
I started with 3 coats of Billie 'Black' when my nails were dry I applied a coat of Nailene T.C. I actually had a full day of solid black nails..... something I have not done for years. I certainly garnered alot of attention during my daily errands.! When I was ready for these beautiful glass fleck polish's I applied applied Nailene Perfect Tips & Toes to my dry nails, and used 2 coats each of Pure Ice 'Busted' & Pure Ice 'Oh Baby'. When I was certain it was dry, I removed the nail tip guides, buffed any raised areas and then applied 2 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat.
I later added some nail stickers to my ring finger as well...... these butterfly's are sooo pretty. They are from the Bedazzle Earth Angles stickers set ( # 71026 ). I also added two cute tiny flowers to accompany these butterfly's. I have gotten alot of use out of Nailene Bedazzle Fashionista Nail Art stickers ( # 71042 ) There are snowflakes in there that will be part of my next several winter themed mani's.
Just as I was removing this mani - the sun miraculously appeared and I had to run outside to snap some photos. My ring finger is all lumpy because sometimes, remover does not take off these nail stickers, and they have to be scraped off first before removal.

Wow, these babies look amazing on Top of the Black polish! Thanks for sharing!
Those tips are gorgeous!!
A Fabulous
B Hard work though
C The butterfly was a bridge too far for me...(sorry)
Beautiful!!!
O.M.G. I could wear a mani like that forever!!!
My tip guides always stick to my polish and take it off, what am I doing wrong ?
It's gorgeous. Classy and sexy. :)
(the blue Pure Ice looks like absolutely nothing in the bottle and yet it's so great over black!)
I would have passed up those polishes! I can't believe how awesome they look over black. I guess I need to go to walmart. :)
That is so pretty!
So pretty!! I looove Nailene nail guides for french manis! Quick question for you: how long do you wait for your nails to try before you apply the nail guides? Every time I've tried to do this, the guides end up lifting my polish up and ruining my entire mani. :( Thanks for any tips you can give! xo
This is a gorgeous funky french. I love your nails!
beautiful, so so good for the price!!
♥ BabyD @ Polish and Powder - Thanks I love the juxtaposition of a plain creme polish and a dazzling, eye-catching glitter or flakie.
♥ Charis - Thanks! These are a must have for sure and at $2 USD they are a great bargain
♥ Michele - Thanks! I love this look too!
♥ Jaljen - Thanks! - Those stickers were part of an 'experiment' I was doing
♥ Samantha - Thanks!
♥ Anois2 - I know! Now I have planned mani's & looks for the next little while, and I keep reaching for these 2 Pure Ice polish's! I think I will have to hide them♥
♥ Jackie S. - I make sure my polish is very dry, recnetly I have been adding a top coat to my base color, and appreciating just the plain polish for a while before I attempt a french mani or a funky french mani.
Top coat is where its at. I make sure hat after applying my base polish, I apply Top Coat and be certain everything is dry before adding the french tip guides.
I am also vigilant about making sure the 'tip polish' is dry before I remove the tips.
Whenever I paint my nails, that is the time that I loom on the internet, look at blogs, news & other things, so I am only using my muse, and not typing or doing other things..... Hope that
helps a little.
♥ Nathalie - I know, right! It looks pretty weird in the bottle! I have done a few mani's with this polish, as well as some layering skittles as well.....They are two truly marvelous polish's that I know I will get alot of use out of.
♥ Liz - these two are totally worth buying. Hopefully with my next bizznezz trip to the USA - I plan on scoping up as many of these as possible.
♥ Gilded Angel - Thanks - these polish's are something else.
♥ Recessionista! - I try to wear the base polish with top coat for a little while, So I can get great photos and also because I am never sure what I will do to jazz up my nails, I never really have a plan. ( I try to get as many looks from each mani as I can.) So for this polish I actually spent the day wearing just a solid black polish with 2 coats of Nailene Top Coat. When I came home from running errands in the evening, I applied the tip guides and the Pure Ice polish's.
♥ Jessica - Thanks! I love funky french mani's ( p.s. my nails are fake! I would give up 50% of my nail polish's that I own to have real actual nails as thick, pretty and un-breakable as this.)
♥ hitomi - I know can you believe these are $2.00 USD - I am so jealous of people who can grab these instantaneously! I want every single one ( I think there is 52 in the Pure Ice Line so far )
yup! Pretty much AMAZING!!! I have those...that ice in particular, bought it for my daughters....it is sheer in 2 coats, but look terrific her over black! Im stealing it, and konadicloneing it! Watch for it!
