♥ Rimmel 'Climax' w/ Rimmel 'Glam Goth' ♥

Rimmel Climax with Rimmel Glam Goth sponged on tips.

Apparently this is also an older Rimmel polish that was re-packaged when Rimmel changed their bottle shape. This is a nice light lilac shade that I would say is a frosty shimmer......It has some pinky-ness to it that can be seen in the photos and IRL....so a lilac with just a smidgen of pink.

I had a tough time with this polish, I found it to be thick but also the brush seems a little different from most polish brushes that I have experience with. The bristles were dense and also there seemed to be polish 'hiding' in the bushy bristles..... hence the super thick application on my middle finger which resulted in EPIC BUBBLEZ!

But - it turned out to be a lovely shade, I ended up sponging on another Rimmel polish 'Glam Goth' that I found on clearance in fall-time of last year. Glam Goth is a black jelly with dense pink and blue micro-shimmer. Its really neat but very hard to take a picture of. In the the evening sun I can see a prominent rich raspberry shimmer = very pretty.

Instead of sponging the whole tip of my nail, I stared at the middle of my nail, created a 'sponged arc', and then just painted on Glam Goth towards the tips of my nails..... Normally I try to do it all fancy and make sure my nails are evenly sponged - but I am trying to work through my un-tried & un-worn polish's and this Mani will only last for 24-ish hours.

This polish seemed really thick to me and I had some problems applying it. I applied it too thickly and got alot of bubbles on my middle finger.

I sponged on Rimmel 'Glam Goth'  a black based jelly with pretty pink and blue shimmer, using an ordinary kitchen sponge cut into a small square.

Then brushed on Glam Goth to fill in the tips of my nails. When it was dry I applied a nice coat of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat.













Below - the rest of these photos are of the lovely Rimmel Climax - 2 thick coats with 1 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat. The next time I wear this it will be many thin, thin THIN coats, becuase this bubbled like crazy on my middle finger so thin coats are the way to go!!!!

♥ Billie - 'Hot Shimmers' Skittles ♥

So I finally have all of this collection called 'Hot Shimmers'. I already had picked up the orange polish 'Burning hot' in spring time. Its strange how sheer the blue polish is, 'Hot to Trot' =  while the others are somewhat sheer.

On the diagonal I have applied 2 coats of N.Y.C. Skin Tight Denim, and layered these polish's over it = which is what I will likely do when I wear these polish's in the future. I was impatient and did not let N.Y.C. Skin Tight Denim dry thoroughly- so on some nails you can see where I picked it up the N.Y.C. with the polish and some polish 'bleeding' is evident.... All my nails have 2 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat.

Someone else may have named some nail art that they created ' Snowy, Snowy Eve'= if so I will come up with another name for this. I think this turned out really cool, I could not take photos of this outdoors because it was foggy and Grey out.

I started with 2 coats of  ~ E.L.F. Dark Navy waited for it to dry then sponged on E.L.F. 'Pearle' at the base of my nail. I then added a coat of clear polish and picked up holographic hex glitter with a tooth pick and placed them randomly over the base of my nail, & repeated with the non holographic hex glitter. I used China Glaze Fast Forward to 'seal in' the hex glitter, and then very sparsely sprinkled the small loose silver glitter over top of then sponged & glittered area. I finished up with a coat of my already tainted clear polish from Billie = viola. I was actually sad to remove this 'Snowy, Snowy Eve' glitter sprinkle mani - it is soooo pretty!

Next time I will use all holo hex glitter, I thought it would be too much, but looking at these nails cheered me up.

E.L.F. @ Giant Tiger in Canada

~ E.L.F. Jewel Tone Trio ~

 I found these today for $3.97 CAD, at a store in my town, Giant Tiger, They had quite an assortment of 'sets' of E.L.F. products 5 different nail polish sets, glitter eyeliner trios, mascara, eyeshadow etc.. I had seen 'Dark Navy' swatched and thought it was really pretty- but is quite dark in indoor lighting. In my little swatch below - I did not use a top coat. The 'Royal Purple' is very, very nice. I do not have another color like this..... Why don't I have another color like this? The white frost I am not happy with it, I hate brush marks and with frosts they always show up. Why frost, the other two color polish's are beautiful opaque shimmers...... These three polish applied amazingly well, had a low odor, and dried in a decent amount of time. I did a quick swatch but only have a photo in indoor fluorescent lighting.... sorry. This was the last set of the 'Jewel Tone Trio'

I had hoped that these black caps would come off.. revealing a small round brush handle as I am quite a picky when it comes to brush handles. But they do not, that was a little disappointing. I wish that the 'Navy Blue' was a little brighter & lighter. I added at top coat ( not pictured) and it looks much better Also I snapped these photos immediately after coming home from shopping, it is freezing here and there is some condensation on the bottels... Hooray for Winter (  sarcasm  )
