blue flowers/leaves?

The base is 2 coats of ELF Dark Navy. I used 3 different stripe polish's; Kiss Pearl Gold, LA Colors Dark Blue and LA Colors Blue Glitter. I made the shape of the leaves/flower petals first with the Kiss Pearl Gold Stripe polish, then filled it in with the Kiss Pearl Gold stripe polish. I went over the outline with LA Colors Dark Blue ( which is an awesome opaque metallic blue )  as well as a stripe down the middle of each section then went over that middle stripe with the blue glitter.

A Girly-Girl mani - ELF Royal Purple & WnW hanna PinkTanna.......

The last time I wore ELF Royal Purple was 2 years ago?  - NO WAY!  ( yes way )I loved this colour so much at the time, I can't believe this is the first time I have pulled it out to wear in 2 years. I think this kind of magenta/purple is the epitome of a girly-girl colour.

Hanna PinkTanna, and it's twin bro polish Blue Wants to be a Millionaire have micro holographic glitter in a jelly base. I looooooooove those two polish's! The both have just a hint of colour and have covered evenly every time I have worn them.

I added the LA Colors metallic pink stripe diagonally freehand - I am impressed with the coverage and opacity of the metallic LA Colors stripe polish's I have acquired recently.

A Simple Gold Sponge Mani

The polish's I used for this look were Icing Manic Monday, Billie Gold, Icing no-name gold shimmer and ELF Golden Goddess. I sponged the Billie Gold metallic polish over my nails, then sponged on the no-name Icing polish over that and -extending past- the gold, then applied 1 coat of ELF Golden Goddess. I need another coat or two of Top Coat for ELF Golden Goddess..... it looks really lumpy plus the base on it is matte = but it dries fast for me so I am not complaining.

The gold hearts did not hang on overnight..... many of them fell off. So today I removed what was still hanging on and sponged over my nails.

and my Pot Of Gold St Patrick's Day from yesterday....... those little beads surprised me, I thought they would all fall off, but a surprising amount stayed on, even though I did alot of crafty things today.

My nail is at different angels, so it looks like a totally different more rounded shape. I didn't think of doing a before/after till I loaded these photos. I think I would like these beads in clear, and pastel colours. Nail polish dissolves the finish on non NAIL ART micro-beads.

I set these into wet Top Coat but the colour still bled.

Avon Jade and Olive Green camo mani

For this mani, I applied blobs of polish straight from the brush randomly over my nails and swirled then around with a dotting tool. When it was dry I applied a coat of ELF Twinkle Twinkle over my nails. Instead of a shiny finish I opted for a matte top coat, which I think suits this much better.

ELF Twinkle Twinkle has a weird chunky formula, and not in the good way -  it's like hair gel.....and it dries matte with alot of textured brush strokes and grainy-ness. It dries fast and has a pretty glitter finish, so those odd characteristics are forgivable.

Avon Jade and Avon Green Olive are the only 2 modern Avon polish's I have. They are fabulously opaque creme finish's and dependable 2 coaters. These are the American versions, the formula is awesome and they dry fast and VERY shiny.

Products used -  Avon Olive Green, Avon Jade and ELF Twinkle Twinkle.

Below; this close-up is not flattering..... you can really see the weird grainy/texturized finish of ELF Twinkle Twinkle.... I think that it needs a nice shiny top coat to mask that, other than that the glitter in it is very pretty, it's sparse enough that it can be layered over another polish without eclipsing whatever it is being layered over.

For my thumbs, I applied a thick-ish stripe of polish to each side of my nails, and dragged a dotting tool in between the colours. This is called 'Day to Night' Technique, ( that's what I call it now ) which I fist saw on You Tube by You Tuber May Paris. When it was dry  I applied Nailene TC to this, but I think that I was a little heavy-handed with the green as it took alot longer to dry and I got bubbles!

I have tried this a few times and I still have not perfected it, I sometimes have some bare spots -  these are visible towards the base of my nail.

Green/Gold Christmas mani

I started with a base of AVON Green Olive ( USA version) and applied the regular Nailene french tip guides diagonally on my nails. I added 2 thin coats of Claire's 14 Karats which is a fabulous shimmery foil, and to my ring nails I added  2 thin coats of Billie Gold. when it was all dry I removed the tip guides and applied 2 coats of ELF Golden Goddess, which dried super-fast but smells funky. When it was certain it was all dry I added 2 thin coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong TC.

The comparison with Billie Gold and Claire's 14 Karats was surprising, although I love Claire's 14 Karats becuase of the shimmery bits thrown into the saturated foil mix, Billie Gold was much brighter and easier to apply. All the Claire's Foils I own dry sooooo fast that it is a race to get them on smoothly. ( I cannot complain becuase they dry fast ~ what a horrible thing to say lol)

Golden Goddess dries matte and has that chemically smell, which is weird for a glitter polish. On a  scale of 1 - 10 I give it a 5 in stinky-ness.

The most easy nail art...... apply tip guides and polish.

Remove tip guides and apply glitter or another polish  & TC .

ELF Golden Goddess dries matte.... it smells funky but dries fast.

♥ LA Colors Static Electricity ♥

LA Colors Static Electricity - 3 coats with 1 coat of Nailene TC

WOW This is bright - I found this at the Dollar Tree in the USA, but  I think that you can buy these online somewhere as well. This really is a bright vibrant blue. The first coat was really sheer, but by the third it was opaque. I had to quickly glue my Middle nail back on and there is some gooey flake-ey glue around my cuticle, no time to fix it up!

Twinkle & Golden Goddess

These were really gooey and goop-ey, I figured they would be. But Top Coat smoothed it all out. I do like the Twinkle polish, with the small iridescent glitter. I have 3 or 4 gold holographic hex glitter polish's already, still pretty though. here are some not so fabulous indoor photos.
