Cutie Girl from the dollar Tree and Sally Hansen ID Expresso

I picked up both of these polish's at The Dollar Tree somewhere in the U.S.A. - Sally Hansen Insta Dri Expresso and a no-name Cutie Girl peach shimmery flecked polish. the formula on the Cutie Girl polish was surprisingly normal - I guess I have to stop expecting dollar store polish's to be crappy. Most of the polish's I have acquired over the years from dollar stores have been just fine, though some are too stinky for me to desire using them again.

Anyhoo ---- the formula on Insta Dri  Expresso is always awesome, this is 2 coats. I did have some bubbling on account of the ridiculous humidity we have been having in my region, but I buffed those out and slapped on a coat of this pretty peach jelly base with gold shimmer and flecks.

 I don't really know what to say about the colour of Expresso - - it doesnt really look like actual espresso. its more of a reddish mauve. Actually I really don't know what to call this colour, and maybe thats why they called it EX- Presso. Maybe they ran out of name ideas -  whatever the case may be it's still very pretty.

Is it a nude? oh dear - I have spent way to much time on this already................

 I buffed out some of the bubbles.......

 and added a coat of this no-name Cutie Girl polish

 Below; before I pulled it out to do a dupe check, I thought for sure Wet n' Wild's Casting Call would be the darker of the three - but it ended up being a much brighter and redder polish.

 It says steel on the bottle, so I thought they would be fine. But they rusted in a few of my polish's

You really do need quality STAINLESS STEEL BB's for polish bottles

I bought these a few years ago and only added them to a few franken polish's.  I did not ruin any franken polish's that I couldn't re-make again. I did add these to some polish's that I had to throw away, thankfully I had back-ups of those.

Below is these same BB's in various clear polish's.

The smoothe silver ball came from a Sally Hansen bottle, and the 2 rusty balls are the walmart BB's that had been in a clear sally Hansen polish bottle. This was approximately 6 months later. When I repeated this recently these balls began rusting within days.

The top bottle has the rusty walmart balls, and the bottom bottle has the original Sally Hansen ballls

I placed these balls in clear Billie Cosmetics polish for 6 months = RUST!!!

2 coats of my latest franken Faith, made with Billie Purple Rain and Billie French white, followed by a sponging of Billie Purple Rain. I added nail stickers even though this was lovely with the two polish's alone. I probably needed 2 coats over the sponged on area, but I just added 1 - I needed to totally remove these nails as they had grown out.

continue reading please, for some reason my blog is being sited as un-safe by Norton Security so I might stop posting till I figure out what is wrong. They say there are threats on my web-site? I added Billie White to Billie Purple Rain to get this lovely shade

and here is another mani I did with the same franken-polish 'Faith'. 2 coats of 'Faith', then I used my black Art Deco Striping Polish to create the curve and filled in the tip area with Wet n Wild Black. I added some stickers to this mani as well. I have amassed quite alot of stickers over the years, usually juts adding them to 1 nail, not all my nails. I also added some magenta holographic hexagram glitter pieces to the center of the flowers on the nail stickers. Shown with 1 coat of TC.

I did want to trace the line where the two polish's meet with a hot pink glitter polish but my camera died, so I thought... meh - it's Friday and my blog is temporarily F'd up, so I think I will just skip it and have a big bowl of chips and watch funny movies and try not to sob hysterically. I hope to goodness it's nothing serious - I think that allowing ANONYMOUS  comments without the catch-pa was a baaaaaad idea! That's the only thing I can think of that may be a threat.

 ( this is an old, oooold post that I was horribly ashamed to post - This colour and colors like this are repulsive to me )


Uggggggggggggghhhhhh, I will happily admit this was the only 'Mannequin' shade of polish i have owned, because after I did this to my nails, I used the bottle that this monstrosity came in for frankens. This was L.A.Colors 'French Creme' which is still available on their site. However this was in an older bottle and this polish would not dry. I applied L.A. Colors ridge filler over this to matte-i-fy it in the above photo.

Posted below is a franken i made using L.A. Colors 'Silver Lining' and some white body shimmer. this would also not dry, which is really, really strange, becuase all my frankens made with the exact same body shimmer dry immediately..... so I also tossed this polish.

♥ WTF Toronto polish & The 'Trophy wife nails I use ♥

1/06/10...seriously?

So I really, really love the darkest blue polish that I picked up in Toronto, Ontario- but it stained my nails terribly ( my false nails ). Also, I found that it is a foil polish, as when I was removing it there was a sheet of silver polish left on my nails that required some serious elbow grease and acetone! I didn't even get it all off.

The photo's below are after polish remover- and a close up shot of my thumb nail. Pictured above as well as the last photo are the 'Trophy Wife' length nails I am wearing at the moment. I loooooooove these false nails and I am stocked up for a few more months.

Anyhoo- I did some serious prep before applying these false nails, and will be 'stuck' ( ha-ha ) with them for a week or two. I will be sure to apply a base-coat the next time I try any more weird obscure brands of polish.

The end of Deez Nailz?

 WOW!

I loved adding all these photos to my blog but it has finally happened~ I tried to load up new photos and I got this message....

"this site has exceeded it's file quota" 

I was just asking that a few weeks ago - how much space does a blog have?...... well, I still don't know how much space I have used, but apparently I have run out of it. At the end of summer I made a new blog deez10nailz.blogspot.com, - I will start posting over there = unless I figure out how to fix this one so I can still post here

I still have 14 posts-waiting-to-be-posted. So I will just be posting those un-posted posts till I figure all this out.

Has anyone else out there run into this problem yet? I really love blogger - I am stubborn and do not want to learn a new type of 'blogger' or 'word-press' type thing. I hope it isn't like, un-ethical to just start up a new blog and keep this one running as well.

Grrrr.. what to do?
