Dang that orange is Bright!

These are 4 of the new NYC in a NEW YORK COLOR MINUTE polish's that I recently found at Walmart. There are quite a few new ones, lot of the ones I did not buy are purple, mauve and pink colours. None of these polish colours are up on their website, and I cannot find any info about them...... I will definitely do a skittle & mani when the sun rises.....

These polish's are between $1.87 to $2.99 in my town at different stores. There is only 9.9 ml in the bottle, where Wet n Wild or Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear is 12 to 14 ml for $1.57 to $2.99.

The rest of my post is some new Wet n' Wilds I picked up... The Wild Shine Polish 'Black Creme' is an amazing black~ the most pigmented and opaque black I have come across. I found those mini polish's from Dollarama = I thought they would not stock them ever again. The brush is a little stiff but they are perfect for my franken polish! .........And thats my 10th box of false nails that I use for swatching my polish collection......10!

Pier 17 - a shimmery blue, (lighter than Skin Tight Denim)
Spring Street - a ridiculously bright Koi Orange
Flat Iron Green - a weird swampy green with speckles in it
Prince Street - a lovely purple that is a close match to a  mani I recently wore; Ardene Rockin Purple, just with out the shimmer.

Worst. Black. Ever. Even worse than S.A. HAN 'Black Night'..... who the 'F' wants a sheer jelly black? This will be good for some black jelly based glitter frankens in the near future. This had no name..... possible part of a Halloween collection from a long time ago

I totally thought they would never stock these again, these are water based polish's that I rinse out and POP THE BRUSH OUT OF THE CAP and wash the brush with WATER and a small amount of soap. Then I swish a small amount of acetone in JUST the bottle and let them dry overnight.

♥ Grand Forks U.S.A. Goodies ♥

Wow - I need way more time to get on here to post stuff...... here is my most recent haul of goodies when I visited Grand Forks North Dakota - I have always found cool stuff at the Family Dollar and Dollar Tree = Just going to those two stores is worth it to travel down (2 hours ). I also (thankfully) found Pure Ice polish's.... oooooooh MYYYY GOOOOOOODNEEEESSSSSS , oh my goodness, those polish's are friggen awesome, for 2 bucks!!! Next time I go down on a Bizznezz trip - I am totally buying one of each! One of each of every color - I am serious, every single one that I looked at ( there was like, 50 of them ) were really, really beautiful. AND they are square bottles - how awesome! I could not locate Sinful polish though...... I believe they can be bought at Walgreen? ( right ? ) So next time I visit the U.S.A. I will be on the hunt for those.

I am extra lazy on this lovely Sunny Sunday - but I will get some swatches going and take more photos-Most of these have already been covered on the nail blogs. Right now I have some exciting home improvement projects I want to get started on - hope my nails survive it!


I ended up buying my stainless steel B.B's at Walmart Here in Canada - but I wanted to find a lesser quantity, instead of 2500 of them, with no luck. There is a few things missing from my photos, as I had to leave a few things at my MOm's house. Just mostly house-hold stuff and my mini soft drinks that they don't make in Canada.

Dollar Tree Goodies... Ahhhhh - I love that store - Seriously I had to hold back and not buy doubles of things, If I had more room I would have bought way, way more extra nail polish - those minis are actually pretty good - surprising. I picked up 3 Loreal loose eye shadows, that are very nice, and very pigmented duo-chromes, ( crappy pic - it was late ) I was happy to find those older Revlon's, I liked the brush on those and wish most nail polish ( all brands ) came in bottels like this for easier storage.


I will be swatching these cute minis asap - just in case they show up at a Dollar tree near you -

I popped in a Sally Beauty Supply and found 2 cute minis for $0.49 cents each - "Mellow" and "Chill", and some grinding stones (.99cents) and a brush for my battery operated nail thing.

Here is some small amounts of glitter that I took form my moms huuuuuge glitter stash - she gotz glittah! I am slowly weeding out my craft stash and am trying to only purchase and or acquire what I really, really need. I will be making a donation to her soon of the glitter that I have hanging around here......

And an awesome jewelry pliers set that I got for $9.99 USD - I have been looking for pretty girly color jewelery pliers for a long time - here in Canada they are either super-duper expensive or just above a reasonable/realistic price=but poorly made (expensive CRAP) So I was happy to find these for 10 bucks.



And I found some other awesome things at T.J. Maxx - fancy sheet sets for $ 20.00 U.SD each, and some delicious smelling hair conditioner - We also ate amazing meals, and pizza - but I will not torture people with Food Porn - that's cruel.

♥ New Green Frankens ♥

My latest batch of frankens..... So far I have only named the one on the right -the light chartreuse color = It is called 'Wild Child' after the old-time caboodle eye-shadow I made it with. My theme for these frankens was Army/military greens. When I made the 'Wild Child' polish I was trying to create a close dupe of NARS 'Platoon'. (Google it) I have never seen it in person but in some photos that I have seen, it is a very unique and gorgeous shade. I think mine turned out a little too bright and peppy. My Franken is a very pretty, vibrant chartreuse/pear color. However I am considering changing the name to AWOL, just for funz.



At the moment I am wearing Wild Child, I have tried many different techniques to get a good indoor photo, however, I am waiting till dusk to try again . I think that the outdoor photos I have taken are as accurate as I am gonna get, but it is still worth a try. Before having a nail blog, I never put much thought into taking close-up photos of objects with accurate color and shade/tone.. It is very HARD!!!! and indoor shots drive me CRAZY!!!!!!

Any-hoo, I have not named these yet. I have to add; that using an eyeshadow BRUSH and gently brushing off eyeshadow into a piece of waxed paper or tin foil or a container, then adding it to clear polish = has worked out great.♥ I had crushed it up before and there was lots of lumps and such, but this way was much better! Thank you for your franken wisdom nevertoomuchglitter.


The first polish on the left, the center polish and the last polish 'Wild Child' (1, 3 & 5 ) are all made with clear nail polish and eyeshadow. The polish in the center, I was trying to make a dirty bronze/olive. I think it turned out great, I am getting that on my nails tomorrow A.S.A.P.!
The second polish on the left and the second last polish ( 2 & 4 ) are made by mixing neon green, black, and a teal creme polish. I took photos of the process this time, and made sure I wrote everything down. I am looking forward to modeling these soon. In the very last photo - the frankens I made with eyeshadow have settled. I added ballz to all of these, so all that is needed is a good shake, and viola = ready to go! Oh = I am back using my AWESOME 'home made' nail swatches, they are much easier to paint and photograph better.

♥ Goodies from my mom! ♥

AWWWWWWWWWWEEEEE , these are soooo small & sooooo cute. My mom gave me a big bag of mini polish's she had hanging around the house a couple of weeks ago = 4 pretty 'Color Impact' polish's, and 12 cute mini Wet N' Wild polish's........ Soooooooo HAPPY!!!!! I purchased 2 of these containers of Wet n' Wild Minis at a CVS drug store in Grand Forks, North Dakota U.S.A. = like 5 years ago, and gave them to my Mom and sister, so they have re-gifted me, which is totally fine. I believe that 8 polish's came in the clear paint can looking container. For 5 year old bargain polish, these Wet n' Wild's have held up well, they apply perfectly and even came with BALLZ!


I have lined up my goodies with China Glaze Spontaneous..... These mini bottels make the C.G. look huge! I have done swatched on false nails, just for reference, and do hope to work out some Mani's with some of these in the future. I have already SACRIFICED 5 bottels of these Wet n' Wild mini's for my recent GREEN/KHAKI/CELADON Frankens coming up = the streaky blue ( X 2 ) and mauve frost were the very first to go. they were pretty colors, but I am shying away from polish's that leave brush strokes.

The 'Color Impact' polish's- the smaller sized bottels with the silver label, below - are pretty shades, and I plan on 'rescuing' them with some pigments & eyeshadow to elevate their opacity. Further down In this post I have also included swatches of those Antique L.A. Colors and those "awesome square' bottels of Party Toez by Fing'rs that I used in my recent square purple frankens. I really like the brush handle and the applicator brush of these L.A. Color polish's. I know that they have since changed their bottle shape and applicator, but I hope the brush is still the same in the newer bottles. I scored those L.A. Colors on a trip to the Big City - very inexpensively. The polish colors on their own are yucky, but I have come up with awesome frankens.... So i am happy about that. Blah I am sorry that II only own neon and purple band aids at the moment, because the L.A. Colors 'French Creme' is a dead ringer for a band aid = GROSS!

Also I visited the Big City recently, and went to an out of the way bargain store and they were selling these ancient L.A. colors polish's for $2.50... at a friggen dusty dollar store = whats up with that? Sometimes I wonder about some "bargain" stores, they are not always a real bargain.

The first 4 nails above are the 'Color Impact' polish's painted in the order they appear below. They do not have names, but I will give them names once I fix them up. These 'Color Impact' polish's are very pretty and just need a little tweaking to reduce their translucency... they are sheer but get to bottle color in 4 coats. Which, is way too many coats for me.

And here are the L.A. Colors......colors. I also picked up 3 bottels of ridge filler, whuch ended up being an excellent matte-i-fier. The french Creme is a repulsive Color - it is way, way too yelllow to be used in a 'French' mani-YUCK. The last bottle of the L.A. Colors is actually the polish from the bottels of the Red 'Party Toez', I couldn't just toss it, so I poured it into one of the bottels of 'French Creme' ( gross band-aid color) and have added a little pigment to it. Party toez was an awesome concept, but the polish's were a little runny & Sheer, so hopefully I have managed to rescue them.... Anyhoo-

These are swatched below in different lighting. While the first to L.A. Girls are pretty, all 4 require soooo many coats, and take forever to dry. I had purchased these for their bottels, mainly, but I do hope that I can re-work them... if not the brush is a good one, so it's win-win!.

Below is Billie Cosmetic's Base Coat & Top Coat, because I usually... well I ALWAYS wear ♥ Acrylic false nails ♥, I generally do not use a base coat, and because I redo my nails 3 times a week I did not bother with base coat..... but I had to buy it.




Here are two lonely polish's I picked up at my Favorite store in town 'Rustic', and an unnamed Creamy peach-pink, very pretty. I have included swatches of these too, I tried to find a color name on the site that distributes these Billie polish's and I believe that it comes from their 'French Manicure' line. So I imagine that it is supposed to be sheer........ I got it opaque in 4 coats, it turned out to be a pretty color....
