♥ Franken "Teal #003" with a little nail art ♥

Instead of using these nail tip guides in the traditional way, I decided to try something a little different. I applied it on the corner of my nail, up-side-down. If I did not cook, blab on the phone and do a bunch of other stuff I shouldn't have been doing immediately after painting my nails- I may have gotten a clean line with the black, as well as not smudging my manicure. But I feel like I disguised all the boo-boos pretty well.

I started with 2 coats of one of my latest frankens 'Teal #003' a very vibrant color that dries to a satin finish. When it was dry I applied the Nailene French Tip guides up-side-down the the corner of my nail, and used the Black french tip pen to color this area in.. This dried super duper fast because it is a water based nail color (and must have a top coat over it). I then added these cute little roses from the bedazzle # 71042 to the black tip area, and disguised the line where the polish meets up Nailene French Tip Pen with a line of a beautiful glitter; Sally Hansen 'Secrets'. I then covered the 'decorated' area with 2 coats of my cheap Billie Top Coat and let everything dry.

I  had originally intended to use China Glaze "Shower Together" for this mani - but went with the French Tip pen instead. Ideally I should be sitting still while my polish is drying, but I fudged this up by doing a bunch of stuff while it was drying. I do hope to re-create this up-side-down french tip look soon as I think this looks really, really cool.

My ring nail is the only nail with a full nail of top coat, The rest of my nails are just 2 coats of Franken 'Teal #003'. It dries to a satin finish which I like.

♥ New Teal Frankens ♥

The color teal, is essentially a mixture of Blue, Yellow with some white & black thrown in. I didn't really have a plan when I made these... I just had a hankering to do some frankening. The middle bottle above, Is a mixture of Billie 'Electric Yellow' and Billie 'Blue'. On the right, is Billie Electric Yellow, Blue, and some black and white to create a darker color. On the right, I just added white to the Electric Yellow and Blue mix. I'm not totally satisfied with the middle franken, I would like it to be a tad more opaque.... so I may mess around with it a little more.

Most surprising to me is that I actually like this purple/pink shimmer that is showing up. When I have made frankens with this Billie 'French White' polish before, it totally swallowed up any shimmer in the polish I mixed it with. It is very evident on my Middle nail and my Index nail. My PINKY nail in the photo below, is 2 coats of the darker franken with 2 coats of the middle franken over top.

I would love to see someone from the USA whip up some frankens using NYC 'Taxi Yellow Creme' and 'Skin Tight Denim Creme' with some white & clear polish... DANG IT!!!! I regret not buying  NYC 'Taxi Yellow Creme' when I saw it because I cannot find a richly pigmented yellow creme that is cheap right now.

Anyhoo - here is a million photos. All indoors under various florescent lighting. These Billie neon & florescent polish I have used dried to a satin finish. So unless otherwise notes, I have used 2 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat.

I am in love with all three of these frankens and will be redoing my nails nightly for full mani's. Hopefully with some nail art♥

 - Above & Below -

My middle finger has no T.C.  and this was 4 coats. Because this polish on my middle finger is only Billie 'Blue' and Billie 'Electric Yellow' mixed together it is very sheer. I mixed the other two frankens with white (RING finger) and White & Black  (INDEX finger)

Oops! These are in the opposite order that they appear on my nails!

♥ Latest Franken with China glaze 'For Audrey' ♥

My latest Frankens made with Wet N' Wild 'Caribbean Frost' and a plain white polish by Billie, on my tips is China Glaze 'For Audrey'  2 coats each, with 2 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat. What a  peppy cheerful combo. Just what I needed to cheer me up ~ there has not been any sunshine here for a few days, and I wanted something peppy & uplifting for my nail's.

I love how this franken turned out. While I think Wet n' Wild 'Caribbean Frost' is a beautiful color, I wanted to try and franken up some pretty pastel blues and greens. I added 1/2 of the  Wn'W 'Caribbean Frost' and  1/2 of Billie 'French White'. I had planned on adding some nail stickers tot his, but I find that I am changing my nail color on the daily.....

I have a few more awesome frankens to swatch and post. Wet n' Wild is definitely a great polish to franken with. I will be using Wn'W in my next batch of frankens as well ( next month ).

♥ Wet n' Wild Frankens ♥

Wet n' Wild 'Bijou Blue' and Wet n' Wild 'Caribbean Frost' franken-ed up with some Billie 'French White'.

 - 2 coats each RING finger has 2 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong T.C. -

I haven't named these yet I think I added a little too much white to these, as I was hoping for a bit more color to show up. These both turned into gorgeous pastels, and although I love these two Wet n' Wild colors, I had a hankering to whip up some frankens. I could not get the colors to show up properly in the photos of my nails.....I am gonna need to get some outdoor sunshine photos. I had hoped to wrangle up some White Wn'W polish but there has not been any in my town recently, so I used Billie brand instead.

Both of these franken polish's were 1/2 of the Wet n' Wild polish and approx 1/2 of the Billie polish.  So half & half. Viola! This Billie polish totally removed any visible shimmer from these Wn'W polish's and the formula ended up being a lovely, easy to apply creme. I had some clear Sally Hansen polish that I poured into some empty Top Coat bottles.... and used these now empty bottles for my frankens. I am extremly happy with how these turned out.

Since I tend to do frankens in batches I have like, 5 more awesome green and minty frankens coming up.... stay tuned...... also as soon as those new Wet n' Wild collections ends up on Canadian Soil, I hope someone tells me ASAP!!!!!

frankens on the end; Wn'W polish's used, and Billie 'French White' in the middle.

♥ GGG & China Glaze Spontaneous♥

Before I even screwed the cap back onto my top coat, I had already marred and smudged this manicure.I thought it would be fun to add some China glaze 'Spontaneous ' tot his OPI polish ' Gargantuan Green Grape'. Both of these polish's are a nice creme formula. They are two extremely contarsting colors.

WOW - What a combination! I had to take this off because every 30 seconds it seemed that I was smudging this. You know - those times where you paint your nails and end up bumping into things, or inadvertently touching things with your nails..... grrrrr. Literally less than 1 and 1/2 minutes after putting on a T.C. I fudged this up, royally!

I have not done an 'S' curve manicure for a while..... I cut out a gentle 'S' shape from regular mailing labels, and affixed it to my nail. I applied 2 coats of China Glaze 'Spontaneous' over my previous mani 'OPI 'Gargantuan Green Grape'. When I was sure it was dry, I gently removed the 'S' sticker guide, and immediatly applied a thicker coat of Nailene Acryllic Strong Top Coat. Using a thicker coat of T.C. helped to reduce the ridge that usually develops when using nail tip guides or other stickers..... and when I apply a thick-ish coat of any polish, I try to stay absolutly still.... But his time I ended up with some serious damage.

Oh well---- All my photos are indoors under flourescnet lighting. I have whipped up some AWESOME frankens that I am eager to get on my nails ASAP!!!!
