 I think it will be inappropriate for me,  someone who is lax in her spell-checking, and often posts with sentence fragments, improper use of punctuation, and other typography to even mention how unfortunate this situation is.

So I will just post this awesome nail art!

I applied Top Coat over a polish similar to my micro beads, sprinkled them on over a small box to catch any fall-out, and moved some around with a toothpick to fill in any sparse areas. Strangely, on my middle nail I used the most TC and it has the most sparse areas.

I did not add a top coat to this, I am interested in how long these will hang on for..........

stuff I used Sally Hansen Chrome in Gilded Pearl Chrome, N.Y.C. Backstage Pass and Micro-beads from Micheal's Craft store that I found for .25 cents ( score!!!!! )

 I took these photos in the early EARLY morning sun.I wanna try doing my nails and taking photos early in the mornings as I am more likely to complete a blog post that day. My usual routine is to do my nails in the evening, having a bit more time to devote to nail art and experimenting, but I find that I start looking at nail blogs, and run out of time to post my own stuff or even finish my manicures! Does this happen to anyone else?

 Here is an interesting question..... I know I can easily spend hours looking at nail blogs and nail art videos on you tube ( pinterest and google....anywhere  )

 How much time do you estimate you spend per week looking at nail polish related stuff?

Has this already been covered somewhere else? If so let me know in the comments. Thanks a bunch in advance!

Today's nails are an update of my mani from yesterday. I removed the polish from my ring nails, then re-painted with my franken Purple Plain, then sponged on China glaze Grape Juice on the to 3/4 of my nails, added another coat of Top Coat, then affixed these lovely nail gems that I picked off of a scrapbook sticker from Micheal's craft store.....so far they are holding on just fine.

 The early morning light totally washed out this fabulous franken. I thought that just a big nail gem plunked down on my nail would look weird so I sponged on some China Glaze Grape Juice. I like how this turned out and have a similar photo in my 'nailspiration' folder but in green......

Purple Plain- a new franken

  I started with a base of Billie Cosmetic's Purple Rain....a bright fuchsia  it is nowhere near purple, but by adding Claire's Matte Blue it became a lovely neon purple. I'll dig through my stash and see what I can compare this franken to. In the mean time I am delighted with how this franken turned out.

I painted my ring nails with the original polish, I think these two colours look awesome together.

Here is Billie Cosmetics Purple Rain used in a previous manicure..... I cant believe I don't have a single plain photo of this polish.... and I cant believe this is labeled as purple, when it is clearly fuchsia..... I should re-name it Fuchsia Rain lol

Those brush strokes disappear with TC, and better application (not speed-polish like I did today)

I love the way this bottle looks, with the polish not totally mixed in - Isn't that cool?

Zig-a-Zig-ahhhhhhh

Quickie Post; Here is a fun somewhat Easter-ish mani. I started with a base of China Glaze For Audrey, then I affixed zig zag stickers that I cut out of mailing labels using pinking shears, then added 2 coats of ChG Shower together.... When it was dry I peeled off the zig-zag stickers and added a coat of Top Coat. Some of the 'points' were wonky so I had to add 2 coats of Wet n Wild Blue Wants to be a Millionaire.

The holo-graphic micro glitter in Wet n Wild Blue Wants to be a Millionaire shows up much better in crummy lighting.

Easter Grass

 Hoppy Easter Everyone. Today I wanted to have grass on my nails...... I used Icing Bamboozled - an extremely photogenic "spritely lite green matte creme which dried as I was applying it" (that's a quote from me lol ) I used a dark green Icing stripe polish for the grass, then added a coat of TC and thought I was done. I whipped up a pizza and painted some around the house projects = then decided this mani needed just a touch of glitter, so I swiped on Wet n Wild Hallucinate over the grassy area.

The idea came from the Dutch Tradition of celebrating the Easter Hare. Dutch Children would create a bird's nest for the hare to leave eggs. The Pennsylvania Dutch brought this tradition with them when they came to America.


When I think of Easter decorations or Easter Traditions, I think of Eggs ( obviously ) but also that multicoloured cellophane Easter grass. Cats looooove that stuff, so please be aware of that!

Essence Choose Me & ChG For Audrey sponge mani

I had different plans for today's manicure..... I tried to do one of those circle mani's, using a pen dipped in polish but I goofed it so bad I went to my dependable stand-by nail art =  a sponge manicure. This is 2 coats of China Glaze Foe Audrey, then a sponging of Essence Choose Me, then a sponging of Pure Ice Strapless ( sapphire blue glitter ) and a coat of TC.

Neither Coral, nor Creme ....... maybe classic

 I don't know if that's the best title for a blog post....... This is a fabulous polish that I wore for 1 and 3/4 of a day - I did not want to remove it. I found this and the THE ENTIRE LINE-UP of N.Y.C. Long Wearing polish at Walmart in the big city ( Canada ) last weekend. While I am happy about that, they seem to have removed N.Y.C. In a York Minute from store shelves. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing and they will bring them back. In the mean time, Most of the N.Y.C. Long Wearing Polish are pretty awesome, and I will cook up a spam post with all the ones I have swatched in the near future.

Back to this polish. It is a GORGEOUS pink glass flecked polish = NOT a creme. It is definitly pink with barely any coral to show. This is probally one of those 're-formulations' where they kept the name but totally changed the polish. Does anyone on the world have a previous version of this polish that os actually coral, or a creme?

I layered 2 coats of N.Y.C. Classic Coral Creme over one of those cute mini  Sweet Serenity polish's I found at the Dollar Rama. Instead of french tip guides or scotch tape, I used a product I found at the Office Store that people use for creating grids on office wipe boards.

it's called 'colored vinyl chart tape' and it's not sticky, so when its humid in my nail room I wont have to worry about a sticky gooey residue.

stuff I used; NYC Classic Coral Creme, Sweet Serenity no name mini from DollarRama Canada

 3 coats..... with a few bare spots. I am impessed that these are even @ the Dollar Rama because the first few bottles of these that I purchased were CRAP! They were water based polish's that did not dry. They have since changed their formula and the last few sets I bought had some pretty shades ( but some were streaky frosty )
