I am very proud of myself I swatched & Blogged a whole collection! This is the Billie Scented polish line. The most strongly scented were, Grape, Watermelon, Blueberry, and Cherry. They have a Frosted Pearle finish, dry fast and are all very pretty colors. ( I hope that I am describing them properly with 'Frosted Pearle', can it only be one or the other? ). Pictures of just 1 nail, are 3 coats over a clear acrylic nail, which i had hoped to do all my swatching with, but I got a huge haul of opaque off white acrylics,..... so...... sorry ♥ The photos of a full mani are 3 coats with either Billie Top Coat or China Glaze 'Fast Forward', all outside in the sunshine.

As I mentioned in my last post, I hope to get 1 of each of these Billie Polish's, I have sent off a letter in hopes that they will get back to me with a little more info about their product. Even though I have been a lucky, lucky-lucky girl with all my bargains recently, I am super excited to be visiting the U.S.A. later this summer, to get my greedy, selfish hands on some Pure Ice polish's, possibly some Massini's and visit Big Lots and The Dollar Tree. I do hope that if anyone else out there in internet-land knows where to score these bargain polish's you will add a little comment to my blog.


So..onto the round-up! All of these photos are outside in the sunshine. I cannot get good indoor photos at the moment i will have to fiddle around with my camera a little more. Next up for me = I hope to finish my Indulge in Beauty Mini-polish's, from Walmart Canada! Woo-hoo!!!!!!

Here is the last post of these Scented Billie Polish's. This is 3 coats of 'Watermelon' with no top coat. On my INDEX Finger is China Glaze 'Spontaneous' ( no top coat either ). Like all the other scented polish's i have worn recently, this also had a Frosted-Pearle finish, While I have been sick the last 3 weeks (not swine flu... ahem, H1N1, sorry ) I could still smell this one, which is more of a cucumber melon then watermelon.... Like Bath & Body Works cucumber-melon kinda smell. Going by how strong the "Old" grape scented Billie polish I had was, I wish I did buy the first batch of these scented polish's. I am not complaining ....., they are all very pretty colors, most of which I did not already own similar colors to, and they dried super-duper fast. I am bent on buying one of each of these Billie polish's, and am only missing a few from what i can find on the companies website. I have re-sent a letter to find out more info as to where these can be bought. Hopefully someone will get back to me.

Oh my gosh - i just realized now after 5 months of blogging that i can upload 5 pictures at a time!!!!!! (I need an assistant ) Any hoo - I have swatched all these lovely scented Billies and I am in the process of getting them up on blogger. If you spot these in the store, the Grape, Watermelon and Blueberry and Cherry are the most scented. I had purchased the Grape and Blue Berry - last year, and a new Grape for a giveaway, but the new grape is not as strongly scented as the old one... So There might be a few 'oldies' lingering in some wayward dollar store somewhere.....


This polish color is a really lovely one, I think that after reds & pinks being the dominate polish available for so many years that I just stopped buying and wearing them. However this and another one I have worn recently (Sally Hansen 'Root-Deep' ) have rekindled my romance with these boring & basic colors. This is just a cheerful red/pink that I will definitely be wearing again.... I didn't even mind the brush marks that usually come along with shimmery-frosty-Perle finish polish's ♥

Here is one of the newest scented polish's I found at the awesome .99 cent store in my town.... This is a very pretty color (I say that about every single polish I try ) Just a really girl-y pink!!!!! However = it is not scented as strongly as the Grape scented polish I found last year. {I did a quick swatch my newest Billie scented polish's haul HERE. } I did a test of the new grape polish I bought, to compare it to the old one I have= and the old one is waaaaaaaaay more scented! ( * sad * ).



This polish smells like cheap fruity booze, which I guess is... okay, better to smell like something on the 'nice' side then some of the more chemically/gross polish's I have sampled in the past. I am not sure whether to call these Frosted or a Pearle finish. Usually I check out Nail Juice's handy guide when deciding on what to call a finish = but I am not sure what to call these. Is 'extra-glassy-frost' a name for a polish finish ( yet? )


Anyhoooooo, All my photos are outdoors & I have no top coat on my nails in these photos. I hope to have a serious nail polish swatching week. The last few photos, I have used spontaneous as a comparison for this polish. Normally I am not a fan of any 3 coater's which have that frosty-ness that leaves some streaking, but I think that because these polish's dry extremely fast, I will put up with them.

So while I am trying desperately to NOT BUY ANY MORE FRICKEN NAIL POLISH, I popped into my favorite store, The .99 cent store in my town Brandon, Manitoba Canada, and they got a whole bunch of the beautiful Billie Nail polish, more of the neon's, the glitters, and the scented polish, thankfully, because I only had Grape and Blueberry. Why are these nail polish's just .99 cents? They are friken RAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They dry fast, they don't smell bad, etc..... I can easily go for a while without buying ANY MORE NAIL POLISH but at .99 cents, how could I not.

I am gonna write this company again, why don't they distribute more down to the U.S. This product is made in the U.S. so whyyyyyyyy? Actually, I worry that maybe this is the Twilight Zone and they are all really a clear nail polish and I am only 'seeing' the colors 'I want to see' (moo-ahhh-ha-ha-ha-ha) I am extremely grateful that the lady who runs this shop orders these, who knows, there are probably tonnes of products just waiting to be ordered at any one shop in the world but they are not ordered.... hmmmmmmm. They dont seem to have any toxic waste in the formula so whats up?

I eventually will take photos of these in the shade and indoors, and do full mani's.....just in case any other Canadian Chicks want to buy these but are not sure of the colors/qualities etc.. I did a post about the company that distributes this Billie Brand, Williams Direct Marketing, you can always Google it, they used to have pictures on their website of these polish's but they took them off (weirdz). I must buy them all, at .99 cents how can I not. My 12 year old self would smack me silly if I didn't.

Here is a few swatches I took yesterday of just my pinky finger. I switched to a clear acrylic nail, not the usual thick opaque cream colored ones that I usually use. ( there not pure white). It has definitely made a difference in that I need 3 to 4 coats to get to bottle color with most polish's instead of my usual 2. I am going to try and take swatches with a clear nail, as this most mimics our natural nails - { but will require more coats on my part}. These are all in the full sun. This recent batch dries very fast as always, and all have a light yummy scent. I think all nail polish's should be scented ( already, geez !!!!! )

Some of these polish only required two coats, but I cannot remember which ones..... Sorry! All my photos are outside, out of the direct sun shine. I cannot even say when I will get around to doing full mani's with these. Hopefully soon ♥

~♥~ Birthday Glitter & Billie 'Grape' - Scented polish ~♥~

 Billie 'Grape' Scented polish with 1 coat of Antique Claire's ' Pink Spice'

So... on top of my lovely Billie scented polish 'Grape' I have use my Claire's 'Pink Spice' (from the 90's) which is also scented and still smells....I refer to this as my Birthday polish, because my mom bought if for me for my Birthday 98' (which is at the beginning of May). This Claire's polish has a fruity smell..... I cannot recall what it is supposed to smell like, but I think it was just a generic smell for scented polish's.

I added the glitter to this mani the next day, which was gloomy and overcast. The day I took pics of just my scented 'Grape' polish it was all sunny and bright out.... Like 2 hours after I took these it got sunny again, and the rainbow-ness of the glitter was really apparent... Dang.... I need my own photo studio already!

~♥~ Billie 'Grape' - Scented polish ~♥~

 So with all the lovely blog posts out there with the Revlon scented polish, I had to get my 'super-bargain-polish' Billie scented polish on here. I forgot about these = I have a grape scented one and a blue-berry scented one which is a light, light Pearle blue (coming.......... eventually).


This is a lovely shade of lilac, 2 coats dries fast, and still smells after repeated hand washing..... These were taken a few weeks ago, I painted my nails while i was on the phone (with who ?) and I added a little glitter to my pinky, my 'Birthday' polish, which I will model in my next post.

The day I decided to use this polish, I as filling up a tiny travel atomizer with a grape scented body spay, and spilled most of it all over my floor. I was so enchanted with the lovely grape aroma in my home that I pulled out this lovely polish. I shop at another awesome $1 store store in my town which carries all these bargain Caboodle's cosmetics, and as I am always loosing lip-gloss, I would rather pay .50 cents for it, instead of $8.00 so I picked up a grape one... and some super-shiny glosses. I know they are like 10 years old, but the lip-gloss wands still taste like when I bought them a long a** time ago, and this grape lip-gloss is also very grape-eee.

Below = Yes, these are some savage looooooooooong nails, they glow in the dark and I grabbed them for .50 cents! I am excited to get these on as I have been hoping to find some fake nails as long a this just for fun..... however I think i will wear them with the little stick on things they come with, so I can take them off when I actually need to use my hands.
