♥ Do You Like FishSticks? Friday Night concept Mani ♥

Friday Night Concept Nails 'Fish-Sticks'

............ All of those lonely nights, at the groce-errrrrrrr-eeeeeeeeeey store....... OK I'll stop

I used some hexagon glitter i had laying around, I applied little blobs of clear polish, working section by section, and created fish scales..... the bubbelz in the clear polish top coat i used sorta ruin the effect. I almost wish I left it without the thick top coat.

I started with the flattest false nails I had, I used 2 coats of my Franken 'Marri-anna's Trench' a rich deep blue,  then applied the hexagon glitter pieces, just dabbing on some clear polish and placing the hexagon glitter with each one overlapping the other.

When everything was dry, I applied a generous amount of Clear Top Coat, which was a mistake = I should have done several ( like 4-ish ) coats of T.C. to avoid the bubblez. BUT it still looks really cool. Unfortunately all my photos are indoors, but since these are removable becuase I used sticky tabs to adhere them to my nails, I will get some sunshine pic's eventually.

♥ T.O.T........... 5 WEEKS AGO! ♥

So - It's been a pretty boring few months for toes here at Deez Nailz...... I have worn Sally Hansen 'Teal Take-Off' like 4 different times, and China Glaze 'Shower Together' a few times as well. These photos are from the second time I tried 'Teal Take-off' wow - what a horrible paint job - the polish was drying toooooo fast , and I could not get a nice even application.

Almost everytime I wore 'Teal Take-Off' I layered a pretty and sheer polish over it...... I loooove all the colors, the formula and the drying time of the newer Sally Hansnen Insta Dri Collection of polish's = But I don't think I will be acquiring anymore----- the rectangular brush stem, the stubbie handle and the wide brush drive me nutz!( plus the weird bottle shape - and they are way overpriced in my region )

Why on earth would they put a rectangular brush stem with a smaller then average bottle neck... why - why-why? Some of the colors are fabulous but I think I will be passing on them in the future. I gave it my best shot  = toes X4, = finger-nails X4; posts on those coming up. I plan on pouring whats left into another 'normal' bottle.

anyhoo- here is probably one of the worst of applications i have done with this 'Insta Dri' polish. No T.C. and all indoors under fluroescent lighting.

♥ Wet n' Wild - 'Night Prowl' ♥

Wet n' Wild 'Night Prowl' 2 coats & 2 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat

Wow - I am looking forward to gazing at this polish in the sun - it is very, very pretty! I did 1 thin coat, and because I'm hungry and ready to start cook'in, I did another thick coat and followed that with 2 coats of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat. These beautiful purple glitters are suspended in a shiny jelly black base. I would say that 'Night Prowl'  is a three coater polish which is fine for me, but - next time I will apply this over a solid black polish, and you will definitely need a Top Coat to bring out the beauty of this one.

I found this at Zellers Department stores in my town, and I have read on MUA that some Walmart stores in Toronto ( Canada ) have the new Wet n' Wilds already - along with those cute little 'Mega Last' and the 'Craze' Collections I will be checking it out this weekend and hope to acquire a photo of the display and will add it to my blog.

I think that the color in these photos is a little off..... My camera had a hard time with this polish === because it is soooooooooooooo awesome! All my photos are indoors under fluroescent lighting.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAH! new Wet n' Wild in CANADA!

Yippee - finally these arrived in Canada - found these at Zellers Department store ~ $1.97 each, only grabbed 3 for now but am second guessing not snapping up all the pretty ones I want. Also they have the 'Craze' collection and the 'Mega Last' collections....... Yippee!

I am sure Walmart has these by now as well - but I try to avoid that store as much as possible.

Off to paint my nails!!!!!!!!!

♥ Icing 'I know someone named it already' ♥

2 coats & 2 coats of Nailene T.C. = Ring finger is 1 coat for some reason w/ 2 coats of Nailene T.C.

I know that someone has given lovely names to all the Icing nail polish's which come in the 5 pack sets..... I will do a little internet sleuthing and find out the name of this beauty. While the brush strokes are very apparent with this shimmery polish; I dont mind them - I think they add a lot to the beauty of this polish - and normally if I can get my brushstrokes in a straight line I am happy. I was super-duper busy the last 2 days and have a lot of wear on this Mani. My oudoor photos are after 2 days of wear.

This is a lovely bronze-ey shimmer from an Icing 5 pack I recently acquired---- Icing you have redeemed your self in my eyes, and I will likely begin purchasing polish's form your lovely store. I will no longer bypass purchasing icing polish's - i always ended up buying the sheerest of sheer polish's which was disappointing and turned me off from getting any more = but lately I have snagged some great ones.

The backdrop in my indoor photos is a foil silver bubble envelope..... like bubble wrap but in envelope form, and a shiny foil-ey silver...... for some reason, the photos I have been getting with this are turning out great! Most are really crisp and clear..... I noticed as well that some of the hand poses people are doing with mirrors their are getting lovely crisp photos.....

♥ Pure Ice 'Busted' with Franken 'Sidewalk Grey' ♥

Franken Sidewalk Grey - 2 coats & 2 coats of Pure Ice Busted tips

Here is one of the very first frankens that I posted 'Sidewalk Grey'. It is a rich Grey with the slightest purple shimmer/flash. I like Grey nail polish = but I barely have any....... I wore this -plain- for 1 whole day before i jazzed it up with Pure Ice 'Busted'. I looooove this Pure Ice polish, I would layer it over every polish I wear, it is in my top 5 favorite polish's.  And deserves a lifetime acheivement award for being awesome.

I cut out some 90 degree angles from mailing labels as I haven't seen chevron tip guides at the stores for a while. I like the chevron French tip - it seems really vicious to me in comparison to the soft curve of a normal french....

I also added a pink crystal to the Chevron Mani, I wanted to see how long it would last with my crafty activities of this Sunday afternoon..... and it held on very well - I had to scrape it off! And all I used was my normal top coat to affix it in place, then another coat of top coat over my whole nail...... and it stayed in  place just fine.

This polish combo ended up being very subtle and the crystal was just enough bling for me. I know i have wrote it many times - but this Pure Ice polish 'Busted' is a must have.... and it's only $2.00 USD.

( Pure Ice please come to Canada! )
