pink from that Klean Color nail duo

I decanted a small amount of this gorgeous stripe polish from the Klean Color nail duo that I wore HERE. This is a hot magenta over loaded with silver shimmer bits = I loooove this and need a real polish just like it.

Also the Klean Color website is fixed but these are not on there.... i really liked these and would buy more of them. They are scented, and come in pretty colours but the base polish takes a while to dry......

I might do the same thing for the purple shimmer stripe from the other one of these I have

I dumped out some clear polish and poured a small amount into this tiny bottle with a normal brush

and my sponge mani from yesterday, Billie Mauve & Icing Purple PJ's sponged on - i dont have a nice cleaned up finished picture.

 I have been wearing the pretty sponge mani for 2 days = these are my nubbin-ized real nails

whoa - i have been busy. I thought for sure that July 2011 would be the month that I posted every day - but I have been making good use of the lovely weather we are having, speeding time outdoors and whipping up jewelery, so my blog...... and my nails have been neglected!

Today's post are of my real short nails. I made sure to paint them one of my favirote colours and incorporate glitter as well. This week I have some fun sewing projects and re-upholstery projects lined up - so it will be no artificial nails for me until I finish all my projects.

stuff i used; Billie Cosmetics Aqua, icing Roger That, and LA Colors teal Glitter

I started off with this; Billie Cosmetics Aqua.

then sponged on Icing Roger that, and added LA Colors Teal glitter all over my nails. I waited till it was dry then added 2 coats of TC. I did some yard work sewing and dishes and my nail polish did not chip because I used a base coat!

for this mani I used the base from klean color nail duos in 'Debonaire' which is a light pink with very strong gold iridescence. I used 3 coats, then added the other colour in the duo - a hot magenta with small gold-ish flecks and the purple stripe polish from the other klean color nail duo 'Courageous'. Both of the stripe polish's dried very fast. I added a coat of TC the the silver glitter stripe polish.

Klean Color nail duos

I found this at the local dollar storel. it is from klean color I have'nt seen these around on the interwebz.They are called Love me 365 Nail Duo. I tried to look them up on the klean colour website but it is out of service. However, i found some photos on google images and there seems to be quite an assortment of these nail duos.

The base polish was a sheer frost and possibly scented. The art striping polish was opaque dried fast and is a pretty colour.

then added the stars, a coat of Love My Nails Dive, some holographic square raspberry coloured glitter  and finally TC. my top coat removed the raspberry colour from the holographic glitter, so I added another coat of Love My Nails Diva to my pinky before top coat

these types of sheer sparkly polish`s are life savers! They disguise many flaws as well as lumpy-ness and ridges. This is a discontinued Wet n Wild Rock Solid called sparkling diamonds

stuff I used for this red white & blue sponge mani

I started with a base of Sally Hansen Chrome in diamond, then sponged on white diagonally across my nails, added Sally Hansen X-treme wear Red Carpet at the base and Sally Hansen X-treme Wear Blue It at the tips. I used 1 coat of Wet n Wild Sparkling Diamonds then finished up with a coat of Nailene Acrylic Strong Top Coat.

I started with a base of silver Chrome from Sally Hansen - I like using this as a 'base'

Canada Day Nails and some neat, new goodies, awesome Klean Colour nail art duos

I started with a base of silver chrome polish from Sally Hansen, then applied straight french tip guides and added 2 coats of a pretty shimmery red from Icing. I removed the straight french guides and added the silver glitter to the silver area. I added a coat of clear = I planned to add some more embellishment to these nails as they seem kinda plain; but i ended up leaving them as is.

If you are a nail blogger and I do not have your nail blog on my blog roll - please feel free to link it in the comments. I still cannot follow you for whatever reason - but not to worry i am working on fixing that.

For the month of JULY I hope to avoid using acetone as much as possible. Sorry for the sloppy paint job but I plan on being cuticle friendly this month. Applying a small amount of moisturizer around my cuticles usually prevents polish mistakes for sticking and I find in these summer months with the air conditioner and washing my hands so much my cuticles can look damaged. So I plan on avoiding using acetone as much as possible.

So i am proposing JULY as cuticle awareness and care month.

here is a few things I have purchased recently. I am still focused on not acquiring so much stuff and I have done well over the last 2 months - pretty proud of myself.

This is the other set that was available from The Bargain Shop that I did not purchase when I saw it and regretted. I found this at Winners for $6.99. The pink, purple and teal are the same as the other set. The yellow and orange are decent but I may add a few drops of white to them. I plan on frankening the other 3 = just slightly so they are just a tad different possibly darker or lighter.

These are coooool! on the right is a base polish with a normal brush, and on the left is a fine tipped nail art brush, I found these at my favorite dollar store in town for $1.99, there were 6 different sets - and if there is any left the next time I pop in that store I will likely grab a few more. They are from the brand Klean Kolor.

I haven't seen these in the nail blog world..... anyone else spotted these?

This was 2 coats of Billie cosmetics Aqua, a sponging if wet n Wild Teal of Fortune, and a coat of an un-named Icing teal glitter. I added 1 coat of Top Coat, which was shocking because usually when I have worn these Icing nail polish glitters, they are un-believably textured and grainy and I need 2 coats of Top coat..... weird. I could have been that I applied the TC immediately after sponging on the Wn'W polish


I have lagged behind with my posting of manicures and nail art this month, I also didn't do as many 'new blogs' posts..... I have tried to work through my un-trieds and many of them are boring colours or polish's that I have swatched and posted before..... not really worth a blog post. I am busy in the evenings doing crafty things and making jewelery.

I have almost 800 blogs on my blog roll! WOW!!!! even though some of them are in-active, there is still alot of pretty photos to look at , and hundreds of ideas to look through on a rainy day

 some new nail blogs I added and tried to follow..... seriously i don't know whats up with Google. i have had to redo my profile and information twice and it isn't sticking.... Hopefully everything will go back to normal..... so they can change everything again, lol.

this is in toronto somewhere - i can see a bottle of Sally hansen nail prisms diamond ( the awesome layering holographic poloish) sitting on the top of the closest bin to the left. seriously - this is my franken-polish heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
