♥ Glitter Gradient - Wn'W 'Sparked' & Billie 'Alloy' over a black base ♥

Sooooooo pretty! I love this gradient "SPONGE" mani, My first one & I think I will be doing much, much more of these types of polish jobs. I think that the term "SPONGE MANI" is a better description for this type of manicure, instead of gradient which is a totally different thing. Should i put a poll up? While I always love tone-on-tone mani's, especially glitter and other effects - I think I needed a different color glitter on this one, to bring out the beauty of the 2 colors, the base, the 'feature' color & the glitter. Wet n' wild 'Sparked and Billie 'Alloy' are almost exactly the same color, and so the glitter of 'Sparked' barely shows up.

This was really easy, there is a million great tutorials out there to learn from. I started of with a base of a solid shiny black no-name polish, I then " SPONGED" on Billie Alloy, a very pretty pink foil polish, using a small piece of an ordinary kitchen sponge and waited for it to dry {which did not take long at all}. I then applied 2 sloppy coats of Wet n' Wild 'Sparked' glitter polish. I then waited for everything to dry thoroughly, and added a layer of Top Coat - I think it was my bargain Billie Top Coat. I think that this would look sooooo cool if the black polish was MATTE, so maybe next time I do a "SPONGE MANI" I will have my base color a MATTE, as well as having a little more contrast between the glitter and tip polish color.
