♥ D.I.N.K. ~ T.O.T.M-W. ♥

My Latest Frankenpolish = D.I.N.K...... Double Income No Kids.... I have named my latest crop of Frankens after female positive things, well...... just positive things to look forward to as we 'grow-up'. This turned out lovely, it is a deep rich purple with shimmer. I made those with Sally Hansen 'Radish' and some old-time-eeee Caboodels (memba those) body shimmer that i scored for .50 cents at a local dollar store (SCORE). It is just a plain silver/white shimmer shimmery powder.

NOTE; shoud you decide to do some frankening... my gosh, do it outside away form everything, there is shimmer EVERYWHERE= I have ruined 2 clear top coats and another creme polish.....IT GOES EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! I imagine pigment's and other things are somewhat as problematic, too.

Because of the body shimmer I added, this is a matte polish. It dried very fast and by the time I got to to the last few nails and toe-nails, there was some serious lumpy-ness going on. Next time I use this I will take breaks and put the brush back in the bottle to prevent it from drying out too much. I can get 1 coat coverage out of this, and don't find it too hard to control, it's just practice and not letting the polish that is on the brush 'dry-out' too much.

Here, on my nails I have 1 coat of D.I.N.K. and 2 coats of China Glaze Fast Forward, My toes are just D.I.N.K.... I have a full post of my nails with D.I.N.K. coming up.

because of the shimmer the application may have been tricky but I think it was well worth it: this is a great color :)
thanks for the piece of advice about pigment powder going everywhere, I'll try to remember that one ^^

Oh, I love a good vampy purple, and that's gorgeous! I haven't even started frankening yet.

All hail purple! I adore the shade you created and the acronym amuses me. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier. I went ahead and added you to my blogroll.

I love the color you came up with. I was going to try doing this. Thanks for the hints about it drying. I had some pigments that were from Coastal Scents. I decided to put them in a little eyeshadow pot. What a mess! Glitter sure does go everywhere.
