I am trying to wear some polish's that have been living in the back of my Deez-elmer..... China Glaze Watermelon Rind is a lovely dark green jelly with silver and some blue glass flecks. This needs 3 coats or more to be opaque, so I layered it over Icing Manic Monday, a dark green that is usually opaque in 2 coats.

1 coat of Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac with un-named ( but awesome ) Icing polish's and Wet n Wild Party of Five Glitters. I love Lacey Lilac, it is the perfect pastel purple creme - and I can usually use just one coat for perfect coverage. I added 1 coat of a multi-colored Icing polish, then one coat of a lovely blue and silver glitter, then 2 coats of the WnW Party of Five Glitters.

The purple seems like an odd choice as a base for this multi-coloured glitter bomb, but it works! I kept this on my nails for 2 full days. I am wearing artificial nails here, but removal on my pinky - which is my REAL nail - wasnt that bad.

This is going to be a quick post which is funny because the last time I wore Sally Hansen Bronze Ablaze it was a quickie post, too!

Butter London's Wallice was first brought to my attention when Nouveau Cheap ( lots of virtual huggs sent to you right now ) did a fablous job of duping it with Sally Hansen Bronze Ablaze and Sinful Colours All About You. Instead of using Sinful Colors All bout You I layered Wet n Wild The Gold and The Beautiful over Bronze Ablaze - these photos do not do this layering justice.

I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Years Eve, I stayed home, ate cheese Nacho's and watched Tosh O. - Fun times.

I have been wearing this for 3 days now, 2 coats of Naturistic's Super Chrome Blue Spark, and 3 coats of Hard Candy Blue Foil. I didn't think these had names, but Scrangie called this Blue Foil - so I guess that's the name. This was a sheer blue jelly with lovely flakes that looks nice on it's own, but i layered it over a very similar base polish.

I used a matte top coat, that ended up drying to a satin finish instead of matte. The brush on this mini ~~sucked~~ wasn't that great, combined with the tiny brush handle, poor lighting and me standing instead of sitting I had a difficult time painting my nails....... I cant wait to have my NP room all sorted out so I can get back to normal.

Also, remember my mani from last year ( lol ) I found a comparable polish in my stash, Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri Co-Co a Go-Go. I would say that the Sally Hansen polish is the boring, plain cousin to this fabulous brown shimmery number. I stopped in at Shoppers Drug Mart & Walmart to see if any of these polish sets were on sale but both stores were CLEANED OUT of any Christmas-type gift sets

This is 3 fast drying coats of a lovely brown base with copper micro flecks. I am not certain if this is a foil nail polish.... I can only tell if a polish is a foil if when i remove it the flecks turn silver. The finish reminds me of those vinyl booth seats at old-timee diners, so what would that be classified as?

I have been wearing this for a day and a half, I am not sure what type of nail art to accompany this with because it really is stunning on its own. Does anyone else in the world have this polish? Do people usually shy away from in-expensive sets such as these? I will admit I used to, but the last 3 I have bought or been gifted have been fabulous.

I don't have any of my stash un-packed, so I cannot compare this polish or any of those posted below to anything...... And all of these weird square caps pop off to reveal A NORMAL ROUND BRUSH HANDLE.

Yes, the polish I am wearing is called Scandalous Blue Glitter, but the real scandal is that my beautiful hand model hands have been scrubbing &cleaning, then packing and un-packing, then scrubbing and cleaning. I moved house mid- December.

Christmas eve was the first time I applied artificial nails since December 12th = I did paint my real nails in a festive glass-fleck red Sally Hansen polish - But it wasn't the same without my beloved falsies! Even worse was looking at everyone's fabulous Christmas manicures on their blogs, then glancing down at my own torn and tattered digits.

Hopefully everyone had a safe and happy holiday & Santa ( or your families ) were generous with nail polish riches. My Mom & Dad surprised me with one of these polish & Implement kits from The Color Institute by Markwins - the same company that makes Wet n Wild Products. If you are in Canada and head out for Boxing Day ( or Boxing Week Shopping ) keep your eyes peeled for this brand because all of their nail polish collections were AWESOME this year! ( found at shoppers drug mart and Zellers HBC stores )

Okay; onto to my Christmas Eve Mani. This is a lovely sheer polish from NYC that is Available at Target stores in the USA for 99 cents. However I found this in a 2 pack at The Dollar Tree ( also in the USA ) Here is have layered it over Sinful Colors Mint Apple. On my RING nail is the old skool version of this same polish ( neat huh? ) but is is very different from the modern version. While it is still sheer, it has a lovely azure flash with sharp silver flecks.

Nightly Nails has some great photos of this polish layered over black HERE. The NYC Brand has several gorgeous layering polishs that are very inexpensive, but mostly available in the USA

Also I am aware that this is not very Christmas-ey but whenever I am pressed for time I automatically reach for fast drying pastel teal and mint shades.

finally, I topped this off with one of the polish's from my X-mas presents from my parents, a lovely gold hued iridescent glitter. Just 1 coat.

If you hit up boxing day sales there is some every pretty polish in this kit, I will line them all up tomorrow and get bottle shots on-line as soon as my lazy vacationing *ss rolls out of bed = plus it has a polish dryer that I am totally looking forward to drying my toe nails in!

Hard Candy Just Nails Mini Polish's

I picked up three of these cute little Hard Candy polish's at Walmart earlier in the week.The green polish above is iridescent glitter pieces and what appears to be blue glitter. I layered 1 coat over 2 coats of Klean Color Army Green. No top coat on these photos.

below; Even though this is a nice colour with pretty gold-ish flecks, there was some weird black blobs in the bottle that showed up on my nails..... The cap isn't even black so I cant understand where the black came from = weird! I have read that this is similar to Hard Candy's Lava. This is 2 coats layered over a similar coloured red polish with a coat of top coat.

( my pinky nail is a careful application of LA Colors Stripe polish in Red Glitter - OMG its sooooo pretty! )

Icing Monet, Icing Blue Goose and an un-named teal glitter sponged mani

I started with 2 coats of Icing Monet, then sponged on Icing Blue goose, brushing polis over the tips of my nails for opacity,n then added 1 coat of an un-named Icing teal glitter and a coat of Top coat. Using Icing Monet as a base made Blue Goose look teal and no-where near blue.

I have at least a dozen other nail designs and nail art I wanna try out, but I keep coming back to these pretty sponge manis..............

Here is a pretty wintery mani inspired by Pallino Girl's post last week. The base is a sheer light blue with a subtle pink flash from Icing.....I needed 3 thick coats of this! This was part of a 5 piece set that I have had sitting untried for 2 years. All the polish in this set are very sheer and have this same subtle pink flash.

I added the swirly's with Kiss Silvor nail art stripe polish and the dots with Fingr's silver dot/stripe polish. I don't have alot of experience with making dots with these squeeze tube polish's - however - this turned out okay.

I have spent the last 25 minutes looking for the new Nailene Nail Art set that has these squeeze tube polish's and abunch of other nail art items..... I could have drove to Shoppers Drug Mart and took a photo in that amount of time! Dang! Has anyone else spotted it in stores lately?

I am really loving Wet n Wild Fast Dry Silvivor....... I am even managing to not curse the stiff brushes when I paint my nails!

this was 2 coats of an older Nail Fetish polish I found at the Dollar Tree in the USA, followed by some hearts that I fished out of a bottle of Love My Nails Violets are Blue.

The Nail fetish Polish surprised me at 2 coats..... there was some bare spots due to my application but it was a pretty decent polish for an old-timer, and it didnt smell terrible either! This is an eye-catching hot pink and a nice base for the light purple and teal hearts.

Polish's with large glitter pieces like this are a pain in the bunz - I end up fishing them out of the bottle and placing them on the nail with either a toothe pick or dotting tool. I do like the irridecent glitter that is in many of the Love My Nails polish ( which can be found at some Walmarts in the USA )

Not sure what to call this -

The base of this nail art is Icing Bordeaux, I added 2 coats of Wet n Wild Greys Anatomy, then used Kiss Nail Art Paint in Deep Purple and LA Colors 24K gold. I made purple swoopy shapes and went over them twice with the purple stripe polish, then added some dots with my dotting tool. I went over the purple swoops with the gold glitter... and added a little more glitter...... then a coat of TC.

This polish is a lovely duo-chrome - google it! I could not pick up the lovely colour shifting in photos. It is very VERY sheer and will definitly need to be layered. I tried to layer this over Wn W Silvivor and it looked aweful - So I suggest a nice opaque creme polish base.

On my pinky, I added some gold hex glitter, and didnt like how it looked.......I think the dots on thier own are just fine.

3 coats of a no-name Icing purple creme, a sponging of another un-named Icing gold shimmery polish and Gold Glitter stripe polish from LA Colors.

Whenever I add glitter to my nails, I try to sponge on a light layer of a similar polish, especially for a look like this. This gold glitter stripe polish from LA Colors was not grainy at all! LA colours - I LOVE U!!!!

Hmmmmm, the last time I tried this type of dotting it didn't turn out as nice. The base is 2 coats of Icing Putty Concrete, and dots made with Icing Sandy Beach, Hazelnut and Bordeaux and 1 coat of TC.

I made the dots with a dotting tool and tried to have various sized dots. The colours I chose are a nice reflection of the gloomy weather and dingy scenery outside today. I will be painting my nails in bright cheerful colours this evening - Happy Friday everyone!

Here's something you wont see from me often = nubbins!

The base of this mani is Sally Hansen Naturistics Deep Purple, followed by a coat of Claire's Hollywood which I added a few drops of Claire's Magic to, then I added 2 coats of blurple glitter from Icing.

The holographic glitter in Claire's Hollywood makes my photos fuzzy. I took a little break form artifical nails this week & needed to have somthing blingy on my nails. Surprisingly this was very eay to remove with my regular NPR.

LA Colors Red Glitter with Sinful Colors Rich in Heart

This red glitter polish is sooooooo pretty - I needed 3 coats of Top Coat but it was totally worth it!!!!! I looked at the LA Colors website and there is no comparable Color Craze polish to match this stripe glitter, I would love to see LA Colors come out with glitters just like this in different colours.

This LA Colors stripe polish is called Red Glitter and is a red translucent base with tiny red flecks, and two different sizes of round glitter.......

The base of my mani today is 2 coats of Sinful Colors Rich in Heart - I layered this over 1 coat of Wet n Wild Black Creme. I added the LA Colors Red Glitter to my nails in a gentle curve diagionally across my nails and used much more top coat then I care to admit - This pretty glitter polish is super grainy but totally worth it.

And here is a few more blogs I added to my blog list, I like it when other people do this 'blog roll link thingy', I feel like I never have enough time to hunt around for new nail blogs/tumblrs, but every week I find 5 or more = sooooo awesome.

1/2 polish, 1/2 cement - dollar store crackle kit

I found this crackle kit at my local dollar store. It is a set if three polish's, a white base polish, a selection of other colours and a clear top coat. They had many different colour's to go along with the white base but I picked this hot pink colour.

I tried this pink crackle polish over Wet n Wild White and it crackled just fine ( on my index and ring nails ) so I will assume that these polish's will crackle over other brands of polish. The pink could be more pigmented, so I doubt I will be trying this over anything other than lighter polish bases. I used 2 coats of the whites, then 1 thick coat of the pink crackle.

While I really only dig black crackle, I had to try this kit out. At 5 bucks I will most definitely pick up another one of these..... Next time I try this I will use a profane amount of the pink crackle over a base polish.

Also; removing this crackle polish was super-duper hard. Worse than glitter polish. I only used 2 coats of the clear top coat that came with this kit. I did not use base coat over my artificial nails, but I felt my polish remover could not break through the clear top coat..... also this was one of those odd smelling polish's.... you know; the ones that smell extra chemically?

While the nails with the Wet n Wild white base crackled much better than the white polish that came with this kit, the white polish that came with this kit was much more pigmented.......

So the whole point of trying this dry-water marbling was to do just that - water marble without the mess. but I find that drag marbling is much easier to do. I still plan on messing around with dry water marbling when I have time tomorrow - but for today here is a very pretty drag marble nail decal nail art.

Even though I can do pretty drag marbles like this and other swirly nail looks on my non dominant hand - I find that they just are not as pretty as my model hand - and I always need crazy thick amounts of polish to get everything to blend properly. This is going to be a good way to ensure that my right hand and my model hand, and my other hand, have equally pretty nail art.

If you have looked over the posts from Enamel Girl and checked the link to CND's Butterfly effect nail decal, then you will have much better instructions then I have time to write. Also the dry water marble tutorial from More Nail Polish is really well explained.

I have found that the best way to apply this to my nails is to cut it out as close as possible to the shape of my nail. I tried to just apply a section of this to my nail and it did not turn out well - so I will definitly be cutting the decals to the shape of my nail, then applying. (but the other day when I tried it turned out fine ?)

I licked my finger tip and gently pressed the nail decal into my tacky nail polish base. I needed 2 thick coats of top coat to smooth everything out.

I wasnt really paying attention to the time it took to do this, but if I can create customized nail art designs, and have them handy to apply to all my nails in under 10 minutes then I will count this as a success.This will take some experimenting to perfect. I am not sure how long pre-made nail decals will last after I do the design and let it dry, I made this one 2 days ago and it was still pliable as I kept it in a sealed zip lock bag.

Its kinda looks like the surface of Mars........ just purple and blue, not red and sand coloured.......

below - I used a sharpie marker to write ON THE WRONG side of my plastic to denote the width I needed for my various sized nails, then added 2 thick stripes of each polish in between the lines I drew with the sharpie. I used my dotting tool to drag both colours into each other.

The polish decal below is enough for both hands. I painted my nails with NYC Prince Street.

Below; I had cut a big piece and placed it on my nail - I would recommend not doing this and instead cutting it to fit the shape of your nail. I applied this to tacky - not wet - nail polish.

oh boy this looks bad - it turned out waaaaaaay better when I did this the other day - TC did hide some of the wrinkles and puckering ......and bubbles.

I am trying to experiment with something awesome I saw on More Nail Polish and Enamel Girl. I started out trying the water marble where you do a design like a normal water marble, then drop a cut out piece of plastic onto the marbled design to pick up the design, let it dry then affix it to your nails - but it turned out terrible!

So instead - I did a drag marble on a piece of plastic, let it dry then affixed it to a tacky nail polish base..... it turned out perfect.

I can see this being a great way to have my non dominant hand have intricate designs that I cannot do as well free-hand, My left hand ( model hand ) always looks better than my right hand.

This Sunday I will set aside some time to figure out how to do a real water marble - then pick up the design with plastic. If you haven't already check out this post from More Nail polish where she did a fabulous job with dry water marbling and a much better job of explaining how it is done...... Water marbles can be so beautiful but I find them to be so messy - and many of the times I have tried they looked awful.

In the mean time I will mess around with swirling nail polish onto zip-lock bags..... I only tried this on 1 nail and so far it turned out very nice.

.... and here is a mani I wore earlier this week, The base is Avon Bare Necessity, I made a chevron shape with LA Colors Black stripe polish, went over the line with LA Colors Metallic Pink stripe polish, then added Kiss pink Glitter over that line.... The pink glitter did not show up as much as I hoped it would. I added a coat of TC to my nails, smearing the black on my index - boooooooo!

3 coats of Sinful Colors Fly Away, With LA Colors Stripe polish in Black, filled in w/WnW Black

I have been wearing this beautiful blue polish for 3 days, I'll have to look through my previous posts becuase I think I wore this for 3 days the last time I wore Sinful Colors Fly Away. After totally trashing this manicure doing household cleaning and scrubbing, I added some black tips with LA Colors Stripe polish, then filled in the small area with Wet n Wild Black Creme. I added a profane coat of TC ( with bubbles!!!! )

If anyone else has this polish, is there some hair care product or cosmetic packaging that is extremely similar in colour to Sinful Colors Fly Away? - I think there was an older Covergirl Mascara tube very similar to this colour-

.....and

above - 3 thin coats of Wet n Wild Saved by the Blue, followed by silver and shimmery/opalescent stripe polish's from KIss Nails. I thought that the stripe polish's would show up much better, but they ended up being in very subtle contast to the base polish......

I used the shimmery white and silver polish from the package on the left.....

Check out what happened with my matte top coat - My pinky nail went all-the-way matte and then it got shiny-er gradually towards my thumb - weird! maybe Wet n Wild Saved by the Blue is too awesome and powerful for matte top coats and needs to shine!!!!!!! lol

I added top coat to my pinky I wanted this whole mani to be matte but ended up leaving it as is.

When I first saw this from My Simple Little Pleasures, I added it to my inspiration folder..... that was 1 year and 8 months ago! ( I got alot of great ideas in that folder ) Anyhoo - I thought today I should try it and it turned out lovely = however, there is no way I could pull it off using a thin artists brush, so I opted for a stripe polish.

I chose subtly contrasting colours, LA Colors Stripe polish in Sea Foam Green and Sinful Colors Mint Apple. I added only 1 coat of Top Coat ~ the LA Colors striping polish was on the thick side, but I the think the texture of it goes great with the design. Next time I try this I will definitly use more contrasting colours.

this was very easy - I started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in Jewel Frost, then crudely applied Sally Hansen X-treme Wear in Titanium Rose in a rough 3 flower/petal shape. I waited a bit to add the outline of the flower using LA Colors Metallic Pink stripe polish, then dotted on some Titanium Rose as well as some smaller dots of the LA Colors Metallic Pink Stripe polish. I dumped a small amount of Love my Nails Pretty in Pink onto a piece of tin foil and fished out some of the large pink hologhraphic hexagons. I wanted to add a little something else so I applied LA Colors Pink Glitter stripe polish to the insides of the flower petals as well.

The base of this Mani is LA Colors Atomic - a sheer jelly-ish teal. I sponged on LA Colors Radiation, then brushed on a little more of the LA Colors Radiation. When it was dry - I added 2 coats of LA Colors Treasure Island over the sponged area.... extending just past the sponged area. I added a coat of TC, but needed 2 to smoothe out the sponging/glitter.

The base is 2 coats of ELF Dark Navy. I used 3 different stripe polish's; Kiss Pearl Gold, LA Colors Dark Blue and LA Colors Blue Glitter. I made the shape of the leaves/flower petals first with the Kiss Pearl Gold Stripe polish, then filled it in with the Kiss Pearl Gold stripe polish. I went over the outline with LA Colors Dark Blue ( which is an awesome opaque metallic blue ) as well as a stripe down the middle of each section then went over that middle stripe with the blue glitter.

The last time I wore ELF Royal Purple was 2 years ago? - NO WAY! ( yes way )I loved this colour so much at the time, I can't believe this is the first time I have pulled it out to wear in 2 years. I think this kind of magenta/purple is the epitome of a girly-girl colour.

Hanna PinkTanna, and it's twin bro polish Blue Wants to be a Millionaire have micro holographic glitter in a jelly base. I looooooooove those two polish's! The both have just a hint of colour and have covered evenly every time I have worn them.

I added the LA Colors metallic pink stripe diagonally freehand - I am impressed with the coverage and opacity of the metallic LA Colors stripe polish's I have acquired recently.

My heart isn't into Halloween this year; last year I had all my interior decorations up by Oct 1st and I am just starting to decorate this evening!

Also, any time I am way for a few days and come back to add posts to my blog - there seems to be problems with blogger. I think this is the 4th time that I have gone away, then sat down to post and blogger is fudged up. Or maybe it's just my blog. sigh. It took 20 minutes to get photos into a post = whats up with that?

Anyhoo - I love the finish of Nicole Fresh Squeezed, but hate that it is streaky and needs like, 4 coats. Here I have layered it over Avon's Bare Necessity which is a pinky mauve.

The base was Avon Bare Necessity, 2 coats of Nicole by OPI in Fresh Squeezed

Scotch tape manis are a fine art - I tried to do an orange/green scotch tape look but it turned out terrible - even glitter wouldn't fix it. I used Avon Olive Green ( USA version )

....... and here is how I make good use out of polish with a nasty frost finish...... Sponge! I started with a base of Wet n Wild Sunny Side up - 3 coats - then sponged on Nail Fetish Clash, then added a coat of Love My Nails Dazzling. No TC in these photos.

Bright oranges and pinks always mess with my camera..... I'll have to hunt around on the Internet to figure out what I can do to counteract that problem.

Purple/Orange Funky French Mani

The polishes I used for this are NYC Spring Street for the Orange Base, Then NYC Prince Street for the Purple chevron tips. I added Stripe Rite copper nail striping polish, then LA Colors 24K Gold Glitter stripe polish on top of that.

I like the stark contrast between these two colours - but just for Halloween, because purple and Orange look terrible any other time of the year.............

I really like the look of this! I smeared the polish when I applied clear over the nail art = I should have waited a little longer = This was not hard to do, but I think that I let my black nail art polish dry out and so I had some polish strings and lumpiness......

The base of my mummy nails is 3 coats of Claire's Grey Matte, I used black and white nail art polish from The Bargain Shop! ( Canada )

I think I am going to try this look again without the eyes, possibly in a different colour combination. I surprised myself with making my lines so straight - see; practice makes 'sorta' perfect.

I was hoping the color craze polish would have much more hex glitter, so I was a little dis-appointed to find that the hex glitter was pretty sparse. So I whipped out the stripe polish and used that instead.... I added a coat of Sparkling Diamonds over the stripe polish just in case it was too lumpy = but it was surprisingly smoothe.

9021Orange Crackle post & run

This is a coat of Sally Hansen Amber Chrome ( discontinued old skool polish ) , 2 coats of Wet n Wild 9021Orange, and a coat of Ardene ( Canada ) black crackle...... I thought that 9021Orange would be very sheer and so I layered it over a chrome polish, just to save myself from needed 3 or 4 coats.

I swept it on my nails on an angle and very lightly to get this effect..... while there is still some big chunks of black, most of my nails ended up having very fine lines which I think looks cool.

okay - I have to resort to the fact that winter is actually going to happen, even though we are having weather that is amazing; sunny skies and mild breezes, when usually this time of year it is bitterly cold and windy. So this will be my first real Fall Time manicure.

These 3 stripe manis are a good nail look to master - they get easier and easier every time I try one.... The addition of a glitter stripe polish to hide any wonky lines or lumpy-ness make this a fast, easy fool-proof mani.

Warm browns and gold say 'fall-time' for me. I started with a base of 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta Dri Co-Co a Go-Go ~ wore that for an entire day ~ then did this look for today. I drew faint lines with a shimmery stripe polish, then filled in the areas with Sinful Colors Rich in Heart, and NYC Backstage Brown. I traced the lines with 2 coats of LA Colors 24K Gold, then added a coat of TC.

this is 2 coats of Sinful Colors Nirvana, with Kiss Dark Purple and Kiss Pink Glitter layered over LA Colors Metallic Pink, followed by a coat of TC. If some of these photos are posted 'fuzzy' I wont fix it till tomorrow - so hopefully they post properly..... sometimes I am too impatient to sit here and fiddle around with blogger and wait for things to work out - but sometimes blogger is just wonky.... still love it!

I started with the same artificial nails as my last mani - then applied 1 coat of Wet n Wild The Gold and the Beautiful across the tips of my nails, then added Stripe Rite metallic copper and Stripe Rite copper glitter stripe polish.

I am so not ready for the cooler weather and eventually winter. The weather has been so lovely ~ it's hard to wear these dark vampy shades and coppers & oranges that I normally associate with cooler weather, falling leaves and autumn.

Yesterday's Mani, I started with Old School Nail Fetish artificial nails that I picked up at the dollar store, then used LA Colors stripe polish in Metallic Pink for the middle stripes, then filled in the tips of my nails with;

1 coat of Wet n Wild Hanna Pinktanna
1 coat of Icing no-name magenta micro-glitter
1 coat of Sinful Colors I Love You.

I have already tried out LA Colors Metallic Pink over a lighter base polish, and I wanted to see what it looks like over a darker colour..... It is surprisingly opaque.

I went over this twice with the stripe polish, I did this free-hand and eye-balled it for uniformity.

I found these at the Dollar Rama..... I didn't realize they had french tip guides in them until I got home..... There is chevron french tips as well as the curved regular french tips. I was surprised to see these at the Dollar Rama because they are $11 to $13 bucks for these sets in stores, and the single Kiss nail art stripe polish's are 5 bucks at Walmart. Kiss, I find, is the most pricey nail accessory company - but they have MANY awesome nail art products and artificial nail products.

... and I found these at Winners for $4.99 - normally the nail polish section is picked over, or they only have O.P.I. polish's so I was happy to spot this.

so; here is what I started with............ These are a deep vampy red.

This is one of the three new NYC polish's from their newest limited edition collection. Backstage Brown is a lovely copper shade, like a brand new penny; so I am not sure why they are calling it Backstage Brown. This was 3 coats - it dries fast and was easy to apply - N.Y.C. polish's are always a dependable polish for me.

Even though I despise these big clunky polish caps, there are many beautiul nail polish's in bottles like these, and quite a few companies are using them..... so I better get used to it! I did'nt like the Sally Hansen X-treme wear polish caps when they first came out either...... but I managed.

All three of these polish's from The Color Workshop were sheer, the rose/pink colour and the apricot colour have a lovly shimmery fleck, though it looks like a foil finish in the photo above - I think these are too sheer to be called a foil finish polish. I snagged a few packages of these for franken bases...... @ .33 cents each - I should have bought more ( how many times have I written that/ said that in my life? )

..... and I added a coat of Hanna Pinktanna, a holographic micro glitter in a pink jelly base.

Sinful Colors Cream Pink, I MissYou, and metallic striping polish nail art

This is an easy to do nail art look. The base is a bright pink creme from Sinful Colors; Cream Pink, I added the wispy stripes with LA Colors Metallic Pink.... then applied a jelly based holographic glitter to the base of the 'burst' and stuck a pink nail gem into the wet polish.

No Top Coat in these photos....I smudged, fudged and.......kludged? my nails so many times in the first 2 minutes after paintinfg them that I just left them as is untill I had time later in the morning to fancy them up.

Since it's the first Sunday of the month - today was my 'go through everything' day where I take account of household items, clothes that need to be sewn, donated ot tossed, tupperware that has seen better days, and wrangling spiders who are trying to settle in my home for the winter etc. so I was'nt too concerned with my base polish of Creme Pink ( it needs 3 to 4 coats, and could use a basecoat )

For some reason I thought there was alot more pink glitter in Sinful Colors I MissYou, but it is medium hex holographic glitter with small silver glitter and VERY sparse pink glitter - kinda bummed about that. But it is still a lovely nail polish and would be a great base for frankens with the addition of more coloured glitter.

Also; please leave a link to your nail blog if you dont see yourself on my blog roll. For some reason I added some nail blogs incorrectly onto my blog roll and their new posts were not coming up......(SORRY X 100!). Earlier in the month I went down to the USA for my annual cross border polish shopping. I got to spend good quality time with my mom and Aunts, we didnt stuff our faces like usual and we all found some great bargains. I had a really nice time just hanging out with them at the hotel, and all the mcDonalds coffee I had was really good, too.❤

Onto the shopping !!! Oh Dollar Tree - I love you more than the Dollar Rama - but not more then my favorite dollar store in my town ( Looney - Twoons dollar store ). Every time I go to the USA - I buy the most stuff and my favorite things are from the Dollar Tree. I did find that Kmart had some great deals on make-up and polish - I found the 2 Insta Dri's I was looking for ( Coco a-Go-Go and Bronze Ablaze ) I wasnt sure if they were coming to Canada so I figured I should grab them when I saw them.....

So this is a haul post - Its Friday night ATM and I am ready to hop into bed with a big bowl of chips to watch a movie- If I dont get up early to correct spelling grammer and add proper names to this post - Sorry!!! ❤

See - the Dollar Tree is where its at! The local store I buy by LA Colors polish from charges 4 bucks each for these Nail Art Polish's.

I will likely do a whole post on all my stripe polish. I do not find any different in quality among all the brands I have tried. Does anyone else?

I happened to walk by the nail art section( even though technically I am not allowed to buy any more stickers/ nail art items till 2012) and found these on sale for $3.99 = okay; these are $10.99 or more in Canada. Is there some reason that Kiss products are double or triple compared to USA prices? Anyhoo - I had just seen the most fabulous dot manicure on ABOP and snagged these to copy..... for 1/3 of the cost in Canada, grrrrrrr.

I knew that Sinful Colors were on sale for .99 cents at Walgreens in the USA thanks to Nouvea Cheap who lovingly keeps North America posted as to what sales are going down in American stores, but I was pleasantly surprised that Wet n Wild Fast Dry polish was also .99 cents so I couldn't pass that up either! 2 of these I had already.... the ones I passed on were dupes of polish's I had already.

I'm soooooooo lazy - do I really have to name these?

And the Sinful Color polish's I was looking forward to finding at Walgreens I love the form ula on the creme polish's. I can always count on 2 to 3 coats with Sinful Colours.

3 times in the last month I forgot to take photos of the base polish I was using...... 3 times! Today's mani is more of a graffiti look then a well blended sponge look. I made sure to not cover up the base of Sinful Colors Happy Ending. I sponged on Sinful Colors Fly Away and Mint Apple. I added a coat of Love my Nails Dazzling for some subtle sparkle and finished it off with a coat of TC.

These colours together kinda remind me of earth day....

I cut up sponges into tiny squares, add a drop of polish onto a piece of tin foil and sponge away.

The last few multi polish nail looks I have done, have names that somehow..... go together? Like the combination of words are silly and funny to me. Anyhoo - this is a neat look for crackle polish. I have seen this on several blogs and it my favorite crackle 'look'. I sponged on Sinful Colors Cream Pink, Unicorn and Fly Away. I applied a thin coat of clear polish then quickly applied the Ardene Crackle polish then I added another coat of clear. No TC in these photos.

I seem to lean towards the zebra look when it comes to animal print nails..... So I thought I would try a cheetah print today.

the base for this look is Sinful Colors Innocent

I dropped a few drops of Sinful Colors San Fransisco onto a piece of tin foil and used an old crappy paint brush that I snipped some bristles out of to make a small thin nail art brush. The polish's I used were Sinful Colors Innocent for the base, and San Fransisco and Happy Ending for the cheetah print. I topped the cheetah print with a coat of Love My Nails Dazzling and a coat of Top Coat

Zebra with Hanna Pinktana & Plug Yourself Sunday

When I first saw the promotional pics for Hanna PinkTana and Blue Wants to be a Millionaire I thought = WHY? Why would they even bother with a sheer pink & blue micro holo glitter - but these two polish's have moved up into my top 25 because they look good over everything!!!!!! They are prefect for disguising a crappy polish application, blending out harsh lines in nail art without completly disguising the base polish colours and can add a lovley holographic glitter effect to a boring day old manicure.

Todays mani is 3 thin coats of Nail Fetish Babe, a lovely lilac creme. I added the zebra stripes with LA Colors stripe polish in Wild Fuschia, and less than 5 minutes later a coat of Wet n Wild Hanna Pinktana then TC.

The brushes on the newer Wet n Wild Fast Dry polishs are stiff! like, STIFF, stiff, if you are layering them over another polish or nail art be careful. I always wait a few minutes in between coats for all my polishing.

3 thin coats of Nail Fetish Babe - the brush was stiff on this polish and the formula was more runny then the modern polish's that I am used to. This is an old skool polish I found recently. A Pretty lilac colour and dried fast on my artificial nails.

I only added 1 coat of TC for these photos - but due to the texture from the stripe polish & glitter I definitly will need 2. Hanna Pinktana was not as gritty as i imagined it would be.

2 coats of WnW Black with 2 coat of LA Colors Sparkling Diamonds w/ Matte TC

Wet n Wild Black creme is a one-coater for me, but I used 2 today. I added 2 coats of LA Colors Sparkling Diamonds; carefully fishing out some of the larger hex glitter. It dried fast and leveled out surprisingly well considering I blobbed it on in some areas. I added a coat of TC to finish off this look.

Sinful Colors Savage with Love my Nails Dazzling

Todays mani is 3 thin coats of Sinful Colors Savage with 2 coats of Love my nails Dazzling. Sinful Colors Savage dried very fast, it required only 2 coats but I did three anyway. Also; it dries matte which was a surprise. It is a beautiful lighter teal shade that leans towards the blue side. Love my nails Dazzling is a multi-coloured micro glitter that dries gritty - but smoothed out with a coat of TC.

Here is Love my Nails Dazzling over black - which I will be wearing shortly - its soooooooo pretty!

My photos do no showcase the pretty blue and green micro-glitter in Dazzling; but they are very apparent in the bottle. This will definitly be used next time I do 'space nails' becuase the glitter reminds me of stars......

This is supposed to be a dupe for China Glaze Frostbite ( HERE is Dollface 22772 swatch comparison ) ChG Frostbite has been on my list for a few years - I have seen it in stores and have picked it up and put it down many times but never bought it becuase i thought it would be 'just another blue polish'. All the photos, including these ones, that I have seen do not do it justice. It is a fabulous shade of blue and whether you get it from Wet n Wild or China Glaze it is a must have. If you love blue polish you need this colour.

My Mani today was 3 coats of Wet n Wild Saved by the Blue, with LA Colors stripe polish in Dark Blue and Blue glitter stripe polish along with a few nail gems in dark blue. I added TC after the nail art stripes then set the nail gems in the wet top coat... they hung on over night and throughout the day - even though I did quite a bit of crafty things only 1 fell off!

I was shocked at how sparse the glitter came off the brush, I fished out the glitter and blobbed it onto my nails. Miraculously there were very few bubbles.

The base polish is from a new collection at Ardene Stores in Canada called Aruba Wave - 3 coats. One day I will round up all of my teal polish's and do a comparison...... I added 2 coats of LA Colors Treasure Island and a coat of TC.

The formula on the 2 new Ardene Polish's is good, the pigmentation is on par with most other brands and the colour selection is pretty vast. I think that they released 20 or more colours in the fall collection. At 2 for 6 bucks its an all around good choice.

I didn't know this was the same nail polish as the stripe polish until I applied it to my nails! I love the teal glitter stripe polish from la colors and have used it for full manicures by dipping a clean nail polish brush into the stripe polish...... the teal glitter and the grass green glitter work well together IMO and I was delighted to find that there is an actual polish of the same glitter!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!

Love my Nails Pretty in Pink

Here is a girly Mani. The base is a light pink pastel franken called Faith that I made a few months ago, followed by a coat of Wet n Wild Sparked that I added more pink loose glitter to. I fished out the large holographic hexagons from the Love my Nails Polish and placed them on my nails, then followed that with a coat of the actual love my nails polish to smoothe it out before Top Coat.

of course I waited to find black crackle nail polish for as low priced as I could........I'm not paying 9 bucks for half a polish job lol.....

this is gonna be a quickie post & run = I started with a base of 2 coats of Klean Color Bite me and added 1 coat of Ardene Crackle in black. It dried matte which looked really cool - I added 2 coats of TC to this. I found this crackle polish at Ardene Stores ( Canada ) for 3 bucks.

My pinky nails I added a coat of clear and the the crackle immediatly after and I got random shaped crackles while the rest of my nails have long random crackels.

WARNING - holy craaaaaap! I tried to remove this tag on the crackle polish and black polish flicked EVERYWHERE all over my nail polish area and my hands/face!!!!!! be careful removing this ( or it might just be that I am a major clutz! )

I spotted this at a grocery store in the big city for $3.99, I loved those 365 nail polish's from Klean Color and wanted to try a few more from this brand. Even though I found this is a B&M - Klean Color has free shipping over $40 and has re-vamped their web-site with really awesome bottle shot photos. I have seen quite a few swatches of the metallic and chrome polish's and I really, really, want that ONE COAT Metallic Green. ( and here is a few more swatches of the metallic from Klean Color )

Although these are mini's it appears that they are also available in full size bottles; which is nice. I love to see in-expensive but easily available, good quality nail polish that dries fast and does'nt need a million coats to opacity. Makes me happy!

I did a quickie swatch of 5 of these polish and they are awesome!!!!!! I thought I read somewhere that they were one of the stinkiest brand of polish's. Even though they have a unique odor - I don't find them offensive; and I know about stinky nail polish lol ( My smelly polish retrospective nail polish post HERE )

I wore the orange polish Boogie Nights as the base for this "nail art". I tried to copy a look I have seen recently but was too heavy handed with my striping polish, as well as using polish colours that were similar so the design barely shows up. Klean Color Boogie Nights has a very nice glow to it, which is something I enjoy about orange polish.

For this Mani I used Boogie Nights, NYC Spring Street, and a light orange pastel stripe polish. I added a small amount of Nicole Fresh Squeezed by OPI in here, too, but it is barely visible.

Although these are very pretty - I found them extremely difficult to apply. They are very thin I thought I could peel them off of the clear backing and apply them - but each little sticker needs to be cut out and applied to the nail. I give them an 8 out of 10 in level of difficulty.

The wrinkles are very visable if you get up close - but overall for $1.29 I cant really complain. There was quite an assortment of styles at my local dollar store; but I think I will stick to regular nail stickers from now on.

I applied just Clear polish to my Index and ring nail..... the rest of my nails were Nailene TC. I think that a coat of irridescent glitter over my entire nail would be good for this mani - but after the troubles I had I just left them as is.

Also - Sally Hansen WTF????? - where are my drug store duo-chrome / irridescent/prismatic collection? There is no way that a drugstore brand cant put out a line EXACTLY like this in the near future

I did my zebra stripes on the diagional this time :)

I started with a base of a franken I made ' Is This Love ', then made the zebra stripes with with another franken I recently made using stripe polish from The Bragain Shop! and Claire's Matte Cobalt. I ended up with two of the same light blue colour so I figured I should franken it.

I layered 1 coat of Wet n Wild Blue Wants to be a Millionaire on top to smoothe out any of the brush markes and raised areas. I LOVE HOW THIS LOOKS!!!!! BWTMaM is a very sheer baby blue polish with holographic micro-glitter. It is girly and dainty and perfect for layering. I have not added TC in any of my photos. It is way easier to take pictures without Top Coat outdoors in the sunshine.

okay..... it's not really that sloppy, but usually my zebra designs don't look so brush-strokey. I had the fan going while I did my nails so my polish was drying as I was applying it.

See how the WNW holographic glitter polish hides all the brush marks and lumpiness - ( well almost ) I love these types of sheer colour wash polishes..... the come in handy to brighten up a boring manicure, or a day old manicure or to help blend out brush marks.

another sponged graffitti mani using Wet n Wild shimmery blue polish's. I did this mani the same as yesterdays, but using normal polish. This time I cut the sponge into triangle wedges to get into the corners of my nails - turned out great.

stuff I used; WnW Rain Check, WnW Bijou Blue, WnW Blue Moon

Bijou.... 3, 4, or 5 coats it is very sheer and needs quite a few coats

and Blue moon, on my index ( top nail ) is WnW Sapphire Blue for comparison

here are a few other pretty blue mani's that I have dome similar to this one..... I brushed off most of the polish from the brush and gently 'pounced' it onto my nails.... no sponged were used.

The base is Sally Hansen Chrome polish in Moonstone, I then sponged on Naturistic's Super Chrome in Ruby Reflection and Deep Violet. Ruby Reflection is a bright, bright BRIGHT fuschia, deep Violet is meduim purple chrome.

I cut or tear off small pieces from one of those big car wash sponges, it creates more of a graffitti look, rather then a well blended mani. I tried not to let the 3 colours overlap each other too much. I immediatly added a coat of Nailene TC the polish practically dried on the sponge before it made it to my nails.

Naturistic's Super Chrome polish's are exactly the same as Sally Hansen Chrome polish's, many of the colours from each line are identical. They dry very fast so they need to be applied fast. Both of these lines are discontiuned, but apparently the chrome pen/stick polish from Sally Hansen is of compareable formulaand with a nice colour range.

above- 2 coats of old skool Sally Hansen Chrome nail polish in Moonstone Chrome, followed by Wet n Wild Frosted Fuschia sponged on. I added Clear and stuck some dollar store nail gems in the wet polish. the gems did not last long - I lost all the gems on my thumbs before bedtime!

I tried to copy some fabulous nail art that I have seen recently but it sucked so bad that even I would not show it as a 'learn from my fail' - so anytime something like that happens I do a quick easy sponge. They always look good to me!

In December of 2009 - I started a little challenge for myself. I tried to come up with as many easy-to-do looks as possible using everyday around the house stuff. I used french tip guides, sponges, mailing labels and toothe picks for the dragging marbles.... all were very easy to do.

For the polish's, I used Billie Cosmetics French White, and Wet n Wild Sapphire Blue. I used clear polish for some of the drag marble looks and Nailene Top Coat for the top coat. All the links for the origional posts are below & accompany the photos.

I have learned a few new things and would like to add a few more posts using these two polishs..... so hopefully I'll have a Deez Nailz Nail Polish Challenge #5 to post in the near future.

first up is drag marbling..... applying two different colours of polish and using a dotting tool, a toothe pick or any other small object to drag and swirl the polish's together.

My middle nail is a full on drag marble. Its neat; but I would rather sponge on a mix of polish for effect then wrestle with swirling polish that is rapidly drying.

This is supposed to be one of those cool splatter manicures..... I have tried this twice and cant seem to get it right. The base is 3 thin coats of Wet n Wild White, with Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost and Wet n Wild Frosted Fuschia. Maybe the polish I choose dries to fast or is not viscous or runny enough to get the splattered look...... HERE is a great tutororial over at The Polishaholic.

So = this is more of a 'blobby' manicure hahahahaaaa. ~ I tried. Its still cool but not what I was going for.

3 thin coats of WnW White over Nailene artificial nails.....

Below is an Explosion mani copy from Nailside, i stuck with only 1 colour as I know trying to make a 2 coloured explosion mani with crisp lines would be difficult. The day I tried this it was rediculously humid out as well. Next time I try this, I hope its as good as hers and I will use a corrosponding glitter for the next Explosion Mani like THIS.

I started with a base of Billie Royal, I applied thin triangles of clear tape like in the tutorial then used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Chrome in Moonstone. I added a thin coat of TC only to the feature nail becuase I ended up applying a coat of Pure Ice Rio over this and the rest of my nails ( now that i am looking at the photos - I think tracing the outline with glitter stripe polish would have been nicer..........)

NEW BLOGS & LA Girls Metal Metallic Olive

LA Girls Metallic Olive 1 coat layered over 2 coats of Finger Paints Tough Art To Follow. Metallic Olive is surprisingly sheer, so if I did not layer it - it would need 4 to 5 coats to get to the bottle shade and I would probably still have a few bare spots. My pinky nail is 3 thin coats and there is some noticeable bare areas.

I bought this at an awesome dollar store in Portage La Prairie Manitoba where they had full displays of 7 or more collections from LA Colors, plus the nail Art polish. I haven't been back since but wish I took photos of the giant table filled with polish...... it was heavenly.

Where have I been?

My computer is making me crazy - there is something very odd happening where some program or script is not working, any web page I open or any program I use on this computer crazily scrolls on it's own - and the 'fn-F9' key trick only lasts for a few minutes..... I have all but taken it down to back to the manufactures setting ( saving all my important stuff ie; nail inspiration photos ) and really don't want to take it somewhere to get fixed. I need that $$$ for bargain nail polish!!!!

I am avoiding being on here; but am actually doing crafts and making stuff. I am soooooooo far behind in catching up with blogs, MUA and watching Nail video's on You Tube that I doubt that I will ever get caught up.

Blogger also appears to be wacky as well, and I have uploaded photos only to have them appear fuzzy and pixil-ated. Is anyone else having trouble following people, the last time that happened thing's returned to normal after a day or so - but I have not been able to follow people for almost 6 days!

grrrrrrrr, I am thankful to have a computer, the Internet and all that jazz; but when stuff like this happens i avoid it all together.

Zebra/Cheetah combo copy & Plug Yourself Sunday

I copied this nail art from Red Hair and Black Polish ( her's is prettier ) I am trying to use orange nail polish at least once a month - but it hard to be enthusiastic about it.... Orange and baby/ pastel pinks are two polish colours I very rarely reach for....

I started with a base of an orange sherbert franken, then used a striping brush to make the zebra stripes with Wet n Wild Sunny Side up leaving a triangular area where I sponged Nicole Fresh Squeezed, then used a small brush to make the cheetah spots with Mavala Nice in the triangular area......

I wanted to draw a black rose in the triangular area but played it safe and chose cheetah stripes instead. I have tried the zebra/cheetah combo before and it did not work out as well as this.

Sally Hansen Nail Prisms Pearly Pinkk & fake crackle/shatter nails

Sally Hansen Nial Prisms Pearly Pink layered over 3 thin coats of Wet n Wild Frosted Fuschia

I found this older SH polish for $1.50, a few months ago and never got around to wearing it. Someone else in my town scooped up most of the older Sally Hansen Nail Prisms that were delivered, so I only grabbed this and another one that I already had. This is the Canadian exclusive (lol) called Pearly Pink. It is a sheer pink with heavy teal and blue flash. Here is Lextard's photo, I am pretty sure its the same polish.

below is Wet n Wild Frosted Fuchsia - which is not a frost at all! It is a very bright shimmery polish that took 3 thin coats to get to opacity. This is another polish that I picked up a few times and put doen at least 4 times over the years.

.....and finally for shatter-day ( lolololollooolllll!!!!!!! ) - my fake shatter crackle/nails. I am not loving the shatter look, it is cool and i appreciate it on other peoples nails but I don't really like it. I am surprised that it is so popular - every display in department stores in my town are sold out, with the exception of a few bottles of gold from Sally Hansen and Nicole by OPI ~ I guess gold shatter isn't popular.

So here is my 'fake' crackle polish. I started with a base of a greyed out lavender franken, then painted on black jagged shattered pieces, and topped it off with a coat of Pure Ice Rio. This is as close to crackle nail polish as I will get.

A glitter sprinkle mani is when you apply polish and sprinkle loose glitter onto the wet polish. Then add a coat or two or top coat; I usually add a coat of clear first; then a coat of real top coat. Glitter sprinkle mani's are messy - so I do this over the sink and wash away any glitter that did not adhere to my wet nails.

Most of the time, the glitter sucks up multiple coats of TC and it never has that smoothe shiny finish - but the holographic effect usually makes up for a lack of a high shine. One of the best top oats I have tried for thick glitter effects such as this has been China Glaze Fast Forward, it smells terrible but it does dry fast and it does level out an un-even surface such as this.

This glitter sprinkle mani is over Wet n Wild Eggplant frost except my thumbs. I applied a very thick coat of Nailene Top Coat, lightly sprinkled on the purple holographic glitter and waited 5 minutes then gently pressed down on the glitter to have all the glitter pieces laying flat, then added another coat of TC, and another coat when that was dry.

subtle cosmos glitter and Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost

My placement of nail gems and holo hex glitter pieces is very outer-space like, so I'll call this a cosmos mani.... I started with the same greyed out lilac base of artificial nails, then sponged on Sally Hansen Chrome polish is moonbeam, then China Glaze Grape Juice, then applied the larger purple/pink nail gem that I peeled off from my dollar store stickers post ( HERE ). I applied a coat of Claire's Hollywood and set larger holographic hex glitter into it.

Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost - 3 coats

OMG!!!! This is a beautiful polish!!! 1 dollar CAD? Strangely I did not already own this and picked it up during the last week of Walmart special sale price. It seems the last for 3 July's, Wet n Wild polish's have been $1. and they actually restocked them 4 or 5 times..... I didnt go crazy but I did pick up some for frankens. Even at regular price Wet n Wild Wild Shine polish is well worth having. ( they are usually $1.57 to $2.00-ish CAD)

This is deep purple shimmer with somewhat subtle blue flash. In bright lighting and in the sun the blue flash is very evident.

I used 3 coats here, and have already incorporated it into some of my previous nail art. These Wild Shine polish's from Wet n Wild have been very satisfactory - even though it says 'frost' it is not a frosty streaky polish at all!

This is another must have, I am looking forward to whipping up frankens with this one.

purple 3 stripe mani

( mini rant ) I feel like computers should be like the remote control for the television... you just click the buttons and everything does what you want. However, its way more complicated then that......

Here is a lovely 3 stripe mani, my base is the same greyed-out pale lavender artificial nails I had been wearing all last week, I applied a piece of painters tape diagonally across my nails, and filled the un-taped area with Billie Purple Rain, and Billie Mauve.

Before my polish was dry I removed the tape and 'squished' down any prominent polish ridges, then applied 2 coats of Nailene TC. I added the LA Colors glitter stripe polish on top of my TC.

This is striking, but easy nail look. I stuck a piece of blue painters tape to a cutting mat, then sliced 1/4 pieces for these nail guides using a utility knife.

apply tape over base colour, fill in with 2 other polish colours

remove tape, gently squish ridge and apply TC

see.... all those ridges and polish oops get covered up by the glitter

... I keep reminding myself to pick up more of these glitter stripe polish's......

purple zebra stripes

I am still wearing those old skool Nial Fetish artificial nails, I added a coat of China Glaze Grape Juice which is a lovely light purple glass flecked polish, then painted zebra striped with the nail striping polish from Klean Color, then added a coat of Pure Ice Busted, a translucent lilac shade with gold purple and hot pink flecks of..... flecks.

I like that the Pure Ice polish smoothes out any wonky zebra stripes, I did a fast, careless polish job because this was my third try with nail art yesterday evening.... hopefully I'll get back on track.

.....and - I fixed my camera battery issue, I guess the little things were not connecting when I placed it in the battery charger - I was really worried about that! And also none of my photos have TC today its way easier to get a clear non-fuzzy photo without TC.

purple sea-weed?

The base is the same artificial nails I have been wearing all week, I used a striping brush for the Wet n' Wild Eggplant Frost 'sea-weed' then added a coat of clear polish and set deep purple hexagon glitter into the wet polish. Since I couldn't imagine spending the day without some shimmer I added Pure Ice Busted in the area towards the base of my nails.

Thankfully this beautiful purple hex glitter did not 'bleed' when clear polish or TC was added = I hate it when that happens, so now I tested all my glitter and made a note of whether it was polish friendly or not but putting a small amount on tin foil and then adding a drop of clear and a drop of top coat on top

I have a weird pattern with my nails art.... if I don't do anything fun and nail arty to my nails for a while - then start doing fun stuff, I fail at least 3 times before I do something I am satisfied with. Does this happen to anyone else? Also do camera batteries loose their ability to charge up fully? I'll have to Google that because the last few times I re-charged it not all the little bars showed up - which resulted in grey fuzzy photos.

Also - Wow! Wet n' Wild Eggplant Frost is a gorgeous polish! I tried 3 different types of nail art today, 2 were fails and even though this was okay ( for now ) I almost settled on a plain manicure of Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost.
